Get a look at Disney's new parade floats and costumes.

Disney's daily display of parade fanfare and pageantry is about to reach new heights with the debut of the new Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade in March. For many guests, catching the Magic Kingdom® Park parade is a Walt Disney World® Resort institution is not to be missed.

On Monday, the Disney creative team rolled out the red carpet for an exclusive first look at the elaborate parade floats and costume creations inspired by films including "The Little Mermaid," Sleeping Beauty," "Pinocchio," "Tangled," "Brave," and characters from "Frozen."

The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will bring a celebration of New Fantasyland to Main Street, U.S.A., through fantastic and innovative new parade floats, vibrant costumes, and an original soundtrack that will feature beloved songs from favorite Disney films, plus a parade theme song.

"The parade celebrates and pays homage to what the Magic Kingdom is all about," says Randy Wojcik, senior show director for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. "It's visually stunning, like mini Broadway shows rolling down the street."

'Classic Meets New and Modern Fun'

Jansen Dupuis, creative costumer for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, describes the parade as "classic meets new modern fun" featuring designs that are recognizable in character, but with a contemporary twist.

The Princess Garden opens the parade celebrating Disney royalty. Swan Court couples lead the 50-foot-long float. The swan costumes are handmade with sheer fabric and faux feathers.

Tangled is a massive long ship reaching 29 feet in height and 36 feet long featuring swinging thugs and costumes made from 28 different fabrics with 75 different diamond crusted vests.

Little Mermaid characters sit atop a colorful seashell music box featuring a Lion Fish with custom printed fabric and a Seashell Girl with a unique conch shell hat.

Brave brings the green hills of Scotland to the Magic Kingdom with costumes featuring custom plaid print centered on a float shaped like an enormous bagpipe.

Sleeping Beauty is one of our favorites with the Steampunk-inspired dragon, thorn-inspired stilt walkers and raven dancers designed in partnership with Tony Award winner Michael Curry. Themes for this float are inspired by the soon-to-be-released Disney feature, Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie.

Peter Pan is the tallest float in the parade and features the famous Jolly Roger pirate ship that will sway back and forth as "Newsies-inspired" Lost Boys perform choreographed routines.

The parade will appeal to all ages that have a love for Disney's classics as well as newer blockbusters brought to life in a whole new and imaginative way.
