LGBTQ+ Travel Guide

Welcome to Orlando: the place where dragons, coasters and Pride flags fly. Discover LGBTQ+ history, events, businesses and more before your next visit.

LGBTQ+ History

A highly inclusive destination, Orlando has been a pioneer in LGBTQ+ tourism dating back to 1991 — and everyone is invited to join the fun.

An annual tradition, RED Shirt Pride Day invites you to wear a red shirt to Orlando’s theme parks — or anywhere else you go — on the first Saturday in June. It is inspired by a group of "kindred spirits" who met at Magic Kingdom® Park in 1991.

Visitors are invited to pay their respects at the Pulse Interim Memorial, the former site of the Pulse nightclub, located in Orlando's SODO Main Street District, which honors the 49 lives lost on June 12, 2016, while also symbolizing a beacon of hope.
