Magic Kingdom® Park
The world’s most famous theme park, Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando is the place where childhood dreams come true. Between more than 40 unforgettable rides and attractions, themed dining and shopping, and countless surprises, your imagination is the limit when you’re at “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”
Magic Kingdom Park is divided into six themed lands, each with a different focus. After arriving at the park by your choice of ferry or monorail, you’ll stroll through the gates into the first area, Main Street, U.S.A.® Here, you can hop aboard the Walt Disney World® Railroad for a fast-paced tour of the park, or head off on foot to see what else is in store for you.
Where you go from there is up to you. If you opt for a clockwise direction, you’ll discover Adventureland® and its classic attractions. Famous rides here include Pirates of the Caribbean® and Jungle Cruise®, and you can cool off in comfort as playful animatronic birds entertain you at Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.
If you left Main Street aboard the Disney Railroad, you’ll be able to disembark at our next stop, Frontierland®. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad® and Splash Mountain® provide big thrills in this section, where you can also explore Tom Sawyer Island.
Next, you’ll come to Liberty Square, where you can party with 999 happy haunts at Haunted Mansion®. Or, hear what past and present U.S. leaders have to say — literally — at The Hall of Presidents.
But enough with anything involving the real world — it’s time to move on to Fantasyland®, which is home to Cinderella Castle and also features a stop on the Disney Railroad. In this land, you can soar at Peter Pan’s Flight®, enjoy a rocky ride at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and take a musical journey around the globe at "it’s a small world"®, among other attractions.
Last but not least, Tomorrowland® will take you to the future. In addition to white-knuckle excitement on Space Mountain® and other rides, this area has two great ways to enjoy a relaxing break between thrills: Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress and Tomorrowland® Transit Authority PeopleMover.
Beyond its rides and shows, Magic Kingdom Park is packed with character encounters, fun shops and a wide range of dining options. It also hosts two of Orlando’s most popular annual events: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in the lead-up to Halloween, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party during the holidays.
With so much to see and do, it’s no wonder why Magic Kingdom Park continues to be a must-visit for millions of people around the world nearly 50 years after it opened. See below for more details on the theme park’s rides, special features and events, and make sure it’s on your itinerary during your next visit to Orlando!

A Day at the Magic Kingdom Park Tips
Learn more about how you can make your Magic Kingdom Park visit memorable and as stress-free as possible. Here are a few things to consider:
Pack Light for your Day
Keep things simple and portable, especially when traveling with kids. The last thing you want to do is juggle personal items around and feel weighed down. Streamline your necessities for a smoother day.
Bring water, buy water, or ask for free water and ice in a cup at any of the counter service restaurants and eateries for your family. With all the excitement, someone might forget to adequately drink enough water.
It’s best to steer your kids away from rides that you know they won’t meet the height requirements, even if it’s only half an inch. Safety comes first, Disney employees won’t budge on height requirements.
It’s Florida. Chances are it may rain, so be sure pack ponchos for your whole crew. Buying them ahead of time at a local big box store will save you money.
