The most wonderful time of the year is here in Orlando, and it kicks off with the Tree Lighting Celebration on Dec. 6. The City of Orlando invites visitors and residents alike to celebrate the holidays with family-friendly holiday events, large-scale decorations, and activities for all ages to enjoy during Downtown for the Holidays. The fun takes place at Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando’s Thornton Park District.

Dazzling Nights (Select Nights, Nov. 29, 2024 – Jan. 5, 2025)

Presented by Creative City Project, this annual tradition is back for its fifth year and bigger and more interactive than ever. Transforming the 50-acre Harry P. Leu Gardens into a stunning winter wonderland featuring a million dazzling lights, shining forests, magical displays, music and beautiful sculptures, the family-friendly Dazzling Nights invites you to embark on an unforgettable, interactive holiday adventure.

In addition to a brand-new, large-scale light show, you can expect hundreds of Moroccan lanterns, interactive light-up pads, a forest with thousands of laser beams, and a 30-foot tree in shimmering gold, plus upgraded food and drinks and, of course, snow. Winter Park Christmas Parade Near Orlando

Winter Park Christmas Events (Dec. 5 – 7 & 24, 2024)

The Winter Park Christmas Parade (Dec. 7) has been bringing Santa and Mrs. Claus to its upscale namesake city for more than 70 years. Not only is this Central Florida’s oldest continuous holiday parade, but it provides a great opportunity to check out everything else Winter Park has to offer. You are also invited to the charming city’s annual tree lighting at Winter on the Avenue (Dec. 6), featuring strolling carolers, a Chanukah menorah lighting ceremony, s’mores, children’s choirs, The Bubble Bus, Popcorn Flicks in the Park, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus.

During Christmas in the Park (Dec. 5), The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art lights up Tiffany windows and present the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble in concert. Admission to all three events is free, and the Morse Museum will also offer free admission from 1 – 4 p.m. on Dec. 24 for its Christmas Eve Celebration.

Oh, What Fun!® Holiday Festival (Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, Dec. 6 – 22, 2024)

Held in Lake Nona close to Orlando International Airport, Oh, What Fun! is a magical, open-air winter wonderland with nightly snowfalls, live entertainment, classic Christmas tales with Santa and Mrs. Claus, fun photo ops, and memorable encounters designed to amaze and enchant. It will also kick off Hanukkah with a menorah blessing and lighting, music, and fun for all.

38th Annual Festival of Trees at Orlando Science Center (Nov. 16 – 24, 2024)

Hosted by the Orlando Museum of Art and presented by the Council of 101, the annual Festival of Trees showcases 30 designer-inspired decorated trees, stylish holiday wreaths, exceptional gingerbread houses, entertaining and design concepts, and more. Orlando Museum of Art is part of Loch Haven Park in Ivanhoe Village.

The Historic Holiday Experience at Orange County Regional History Center (Dec. 3 – 18, 2024)

Enjoy seasonal activities, caroling, storytelling, and a private visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at this interactive and intimate holiday experience. It’s hosted by the Orange County Regional History Center in downtown Orlando’s City District.

Cirque Mechanics: Winter Wonderland Shop (Dec. 12 – 29, 2024)

Hosted by Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in City District, Cirque Mechanics: Winter Wonderland Shoppe promises to be a holiday emporium like no other. Under the brightly colored Big Top, a series of fantastical transactions will unfold with the world-renowned aerial and acrobatic artists of Cirque Mechanics.

Experience the magic of a traditional German Christmas market at Luminary Green Park in downtown’s Parramore District. Immerse yourself in festive cheer with delicious treats, unique gifts, and holiday entertainment.

Head to City District in downtown Orlando for festive fun at the Deck the District Holiday Event, running from 6 – 9 p.m. Enjoy a gingerbread house building contest, pictures of Santa Claus with you and your dogs, and a Christmas tree lighting to cap off the night of fun.

Jingle Eve (Nov. 23, 2024)

Kick off the holiday season with no shortage of yuletide festivities at Jingle Eve, taking place in Ivanhoe Village. From beer gardens to live music, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, a children’s holiday village, and special event promotions by Ivanhoe Village retailers, restaurants and bars, the evening culminates with fireworks displayed high above the shores of Lake Ivanhoe. Jingle Eve is free and open to the public, with the exception of a premium “12 Wines of Christmas” walk.

Krampusfest (Dec. 8, 2024)

In some eastern European cultures, Santa Claus is accompanied by Krampus — a horrible monster who snatches bad children instead of giving them presents. And this holiday season, he is again headed to Orlando for Krampusfest. One of the most famous Krampus celebrations in the country, this annual tradition brings the alpine spirit to The Milk District® near downtown Orlando.

Part of Thornton Park District, High T is celebrating the holidays with a Bridgerton Holiday Ball (Dec. 11), Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl (Dec. 13), and Sugarplum: A Nutcracker-Inspired Burlesque Show (Dec. 15).

Christmas Bells Ringing (Dec. 14, 2024)

Create lasting memories and embrace the magic of the season at Christmas Bells Ringing, a festive celebration filled with holiday cheer. It’s hosted by the Historic Town of Eatonville, just north of Winter Park and about 30 minutes from our entertainment districts.

Christmas Lights Bioluminescence Kayak Tour (Fridays & Saturdays, Dec. 6 – 28, 2024)
