Since 1987, March has been observed as Women’s History Month to honor women’s contributions to history, culture and society. Additionally, International Women’s Day is March 8, commemorating the achievements of women and making a continued call to action for women’s equality.

Orlando Valkyries Matches (March 1, 3 & 9, 2024)
Join the Orlando Valkyries in celebrating their inaugural season by attending one of their exciting matches at Addition Financial Arena at University of Central Florida, east of downtown Orlando. The team competes in the new Pro Volleyball Federation, the premier women’s professional volleyball league in North America. The women will face off against the Grand Rapids Rise, Columbus Fury and Omaha Supernovas this March. Pricing: Varies.

Soprano Keri Lee Pierson With Musicians of Musiva Celebrating Women’s Day (March 8, 2024)
Enjoy a captivating performance from Soprano Keri Lee Pierson with Musicians of Musiva Celebrating Women’s Day at Timucua Arts Foundation, part of Orlando’s SODO District. This ensemble of all women will perform pieces by woman composers and include representation from multiple countries. Pricing: $30.

Women Who Rock! (Select Dates, March 8 - 30, 2024)
Celebrate Women's History Month at the Hard Rock Cafe as they host a talented line-up of women musicians every Friday and Saturday evening during March. There are also special menu items available, with a portion of the proceeds going towards the Magee Women's Research Institue & Foundation and the Global Gift Foundation.
Women Celebrating Women ‘I Am Inspired’ (March 9, 2024)
Enjoy an empowering brunch complete with inspiring speakers, engaging activities and interactive conversations designed to uplift at the Women Celebrating Women “I Am Inspired” event. This unique experience will allow you to connect with and learn from other women and celebrate women’s achievements together. This event will be hosted at DGBEK Studios near The Mall at Millenia. Becoming Othello: A Black Girl’s Journey (Select Dates, March 13 – 30, 2024)
This March, you can catch a performance of Becoming Othello: A Black Girl’s Journey at the Orlando Shakes. The play includes verses from William Shakespeare’s Othello and features dynamic multimedia elements while conveying themes of perseverance and discovery. Pricing: Varies.
Women’s History Breakfast: Daring Women of the Skies (March 14, 2024)
Join the Orange County Regional History Center for their fifth annual Women’s History Month event, the Women’s History Breakfast: Daring Women of the Skies. This year’s edition will celebrate the accomplishments of four pioneering woman aviators and their connections to Central Florida. The event will include a breakfast buffet alongside engaging programming. Pricing: $35 per person.
Orlando Pride Matches (March 22 & 29, 2024)
Celebrate Women’s History Month and support the Orlando Pride team at their home-opener match at Inter&Co Stadium, part of downtown Orlando’s Parramore District. The Pride competes in the National Women’s Soccer League, and the team has been a strong advocate for equality initiatives locally and nationally. The team will play against Angel City FC and the Chicago Red Stars this March. Pricing: Varies.

Women in the Arts Expo (March 30, 2024)
The Orange County Library System will host the Women in the Arts Expo, where you can engage with the professional fine arts community of Central Florida. The event will feature guest speakers discussing how to advance in the fine arts and the importance of inclusivity and equity for woman artists. This event will be hosted at the Orlando Public Library in downtown Orlando’s City District. Pricing: Free.
