A City of Dreams
Orlando isn’t just a city — it’s this place where dreams become reality. It’s that feeling you get when you step foot into Walt Disney World® Resort and suddenly find yourself meeting your favorite character for the first time, or when you’re doing a high-speed dash through a Raptor paddock at Universal Orlando Resort. And we can never forget about Gatorland, where you can get up close and personal with some of Florida’s most iconic creatures … including the infamous Jawlene, the jawless alligator!

Hospitality at Its Finest
Now, hospitality isn’t just a business in Orlando — it’s a way of life. From the moment you arrive to The City Beautiful, you’re greeted with genuine warmth and kindness that instantly puts you at ease and makes you feel like the monarch you are.
Discover: Places to Stay
Hospitality is at the heart of Orlando’s culture, woven into every aspect of the city’s identity — from the friendly hotel staff who go above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable (don’t even get my started with the icons of The Alfond Inn!), to the legendary locals (like myself) who offer tips and recommendations with a smile. (My favorite question will always be, “Where should I eat?”). This genuine care and guidance for everyone is what makes visitors feel like they’re part of the Orlando community from the moment they step foot in this city.
A Foodie Journey for All
In 2023, Orlando was crowned the top spot on WalletHub’s “Best Foodie Cities in America” list, which was shared with world in People Magazine, and it’s no wonder why: Orlando is iconic when it comes to food! But the real tea is that it’s not just about the renowned restaurants; it’s about this city-wide love affair with food that runs deep within this community.

The foodie scene here caters to every palate and preference, no matter if you’re having a treat-yourself day with the culinary delights of a MICHELIN-starred establishment like Natsu, or grabbing a bite from one of Orlando’s famous food festivals. Orlando’s diverse food landscape mirrors the richness of its population. And with each bite, you’ll uncover the heart and soul of the city — a place where food is more than sustenance; it's a shared experience, a celebration of culture, and a way of life.
At the end of the day, everyone is a foodie at heart and every meal becomes an opportunity to connect, laugh and create unforgettable memories with fellow food fanatics. So, always come hungry, come curious, and come ready to be embraced by Orlando’s foodie community.
Embracing the Outdoors
Nature lovers and nature novices like me: There is always room at the campfire for you! Orlando extends far beyond its iconic theme parks and bustling city lights. Beyond the hustle and bustle, there’s a whole world of breathtaking natural wonders just waiting to be explored. (And despite my many failed attempts at kayaking, I still haven’t given up. I will become a pro one day!)

From the peaceful vibes of Wekiwa Springs State Park to the opulent greenery of the Harry P. Leu Gardens, Orlando always brings solace to those in need with the great outdoors. Whether you’re taking an airboat ride with Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures or gliding along quiet waterways, Orlando’s breathtaking natural beauty promises to leave you feeling both inspired and rejuvenated.
Celebrating Diversity
Orlando proudly displays its diversity, honoring all the cultures that contribute to its vibrant tapestry. It’s through colorful festivals, like the Asian Lantern Festival from November through January at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, that pay homage to traditions from across the globe. Similarly, captivating exhibits at cultural institutions allow Orlando to stand as a legendary example of inclusivity and acceptance.

Soak up the incredible atmosphere of events like experiencing the world’s flavors at EPCOT® International Food & Wine Festival in late summer and fall. Run the annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run in June. Live your Sporty Spice fantasy at an Orlando Pride soccer game. Or immerse yourself in the thought-provoking displays at Orlando Museum of Art. You’ll quickly realize that diversity isn’t just acknowledged here — it’s embraced wholeheartedly.
A Community of Kindness
In Orlando, being kind isn’t just something you do every now and then — it’s part of who we are. We volunteer at local charities, we come together when local businesses are in need, and we help our neighbors … the fierce folks of Orlando are always here to bring compassion and empathy that people need and deserve.
Whether it’s coming together to support those going through tough times, celebrating each other’s huge achievements at your favorite brewery (I have far too many to just pick one), or just spreading good vibes with random acts of kindness, Orlando has a strong sense of community that’s always there; it always has been and always will. And you know what? That is what makes Orlando feel like home … not just for me, but for everyone.
Welcome to The City Beautiful
From the outside looking in, people always ask, “Why Orlando?” And I look right back and say, “Experience what I’ve experienced and see if you still ask that question.”
Over the past 10 years, Orlando has become more than just a place I live — it’s my chosen family. It’s my safe space, my runway and my constant source of inspiration. If I had to describe Orlando in three words it would be: Icon, Legend and Moment.
To me, Orlando is the place where I strut down the streets of its vibrant neighborhoods like they’re my own personal runways. It’s living for its diverse cultural scene (and diverse foodie scene). And simply connecting with its iconic people. In short, Orlando has become a part of who I am.
The memories I’ve made here, from zip-lining over gators to having brunch with my besties at The Hammered Lamb, are moments that live with me forever. Orlando isn’t just a place to live or a fun place to visit — it’s a city filled with warmth, community and endless possibilities, and a place where everyone can just be. There are a lot of places in this world where it’s hard to just be, but Orlando … Orlando does it right.
And looking ahead, I know Orlando will always be there for us — our go-to for fun, inspiration and a welcoming place to call home … or a home away from home.
