Explore stadium-adjacent must-do’s for a game day getaway with influencer Carolina Grabova.
Orlando loves soccer, thanks in large part to the growing popularity of our local Major League Soccer team, Orlando City Soccer Club, and the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League champions, the Orlando Pride. Over the past few years, the sport has taken center stage in Orlando with major international events like the FC Series, national team friendlies and most recently, the arrival of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.

Grand Bohemian Orlando
This is my personal favorite hotel in downtown. Stylish and artsy, the Grand Bohemian Orlando is just steps from the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and is surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to wind down in style after the game.

Aloft Orlando Downtown
Aloft Orlando Downtown is a great option for budget-conscious travelers who don’t want to sacrifice location or comfort. The stylish hotel is about 15 minutes on foot from Inter&Co Stadium and less than 10 minutes by car from Camping World Stadium.
Things to Do in Downtown Orlando on Game Day
Watching the game is only part of the fun. Downtown Orlando’s authentic neighborhoods have tons to offer, including parks, culture, live music and more. Here are a few ideas to round out your game day plans.

Lake Eola Park
Just a few minutes from both stadiums, Lake Eola Park is Orlando’s most beloved green space. It’s a great pre- or post-game stop for a relaxing walk around the lake, paddle boat rentals or time at the playground with kids. My favorite thing to do is watch the swans calmly glide across the water. Dozens of them call Lake Eola home.

If you’re around on a Sunday, don’t miss the farmers market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with local food, live music and artisan vendors.

Catch a Basketball Game (or Concert)
Yes, you read that right. Depending on the time of year, you can catch both a soccer match and a basketball game in one day. The Kia Center is just a 7-minute walk from Inter&Co Stadium and an 8-minute drive from Camping World Stadium. You can cheer on your favorite soccer team and still make it in time to watch the Orlando Magic take the court. It’s the ultimate doubleheader for sports fans. (Editor’s note: The Kia Center also hosts a wide range of concerts from top acts in music and comedy, and Camping World brings several big-name shows to Orlando every year.)

Ivanhoe Park Lager House
This is the best-located bar on the list for game day. Ivanhoe Park Lager House is right between both stadiums, just a 10-minute walk from either location. But the real reason to stop by is the beer. Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company is a local craft brewery with a solid selection of brews. My favorite is the City Brewtiful, a clever play on Orlando’s nickname, “The City Beautiful.”

AC Sky Bar
Located on the rooftop of the AC Hotel by Marriott, this spot has one of the best sunset views in Orlando. It’s modern, stylish and perfect for relaxing with a cocktail before or after the game.
Mathers Social Gathering
This is one of my personal go-to spots. Housed in a historic building with a hidden entrance, Mathers feels like a step back in time. The vintage decor, velvet chairs and curated cocktail menu set the tone. Depending on the time of night, you might even catch a burlesque show, so leave the kids at home for this one.

Bösendorfer Lounge
This sophisticated lounge inside the Grand Bohemian features live music and expertly crafted cocktails. I recommend the Bee’s Knees, which is made with locally sourced honey. One dollar from every Bee’s Knees sold supports Parramore Kidz Zone, a local initiative that produces the honey and offers impactful programs for youth in the community.

The Drake Kitchen + Bar offers a seasonal menu inspired by international flavors near Lake Eola. The vibe is upscale yet approachable, and the dishes are as pretty as they are tasty.
