Frozen Butterbeer™
When the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Hosgmeade™ first opened in 2010, there were just two forms of Butterbeer™ available. The frozen variety is a favorite of many visitors, featuring a chilled slushy-style drink topped with rich, creamy foam — perfect for crafting that photo-worthy Butterbeer™ mustache. Like other Butterbeer™ treats, it tastes like shortbread and butterscotch and is perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day.
Cold Butterbeer™
Cold Butterbeer™, on the other hand, is a cool, carbonated beverage topped with the same delicious foam. It’s another opening day classic and my favorite kind of Butterbeer™, mostly because the foam seems to multiply as the bubbles rise to the surface. You’ll find it listed on menus as simply “Butterbeer™” — no cold, hot or frozen identifier required.
Tip: You can also get Butterbeer™ and Frozen Butterbeer™ without the foam for a delicious, vegan treat. Just ask for the non-dairy version.
Hot Butterbeer™
For die-hard Harry Potter™ fans, hot Butterbeer™ is about as close as you can get to the sweet, foamy beverage described in the books. It’s warm, comforting and perfect for strolling the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ during the festive holiday season. It’s also available year-round, so you can enjoy it even in the warmer months.
Butterbeer™ Ice Cream
For another take on “frozen” Butterbeer™, there are two delicious varieties of Butterbeer™ ice cream. Score creamy soft serve from Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream in Diagon Alley™, or snag ice cream with your meal at Three Broomsticks™ or The Leaky Cauldron™. Or try any of the locations listed at the end of this post.
Butterbeer™ Crepe
Available exclusively at Universal Epic Universe, the Butterbeer™ crepe puts a magical twist on classic French cuisine. It features shortbread cookie butter, Bavarian cream, Butterbeer™ cream, strawberries, Butterbeer™ drizzle and a Butterbeer™ shortbread cookie all layered throughout a delicate French crepe. Find it at Café L’air De La Sirène™ alongside other French-inspired dishes.

Butterbeer™ Potted Cream
End your meal on a sweet note with Butterbeer™ Potted Cream, available at The Leaky Cauldron™ and Three Broomsticks™. It has a rich pudding consistency with flavors of butterscotch and shortbread, all topped with a delicious dab of cream.
Butterbeer™ Ice Lollies
These eye-catching ice lollies pack mouthwatering Butterbeer™ flavor into a fun popsicle form. Originally introduced as part of the resort's Butterbeer™ Season, these fan-favorite ice lollies are now available year-round.
Butterbeer™ Fudge
For a suitcase-friendly alternative, try Butterbeer™ Fudge instead. It features two flavorful varieties inspired by the classic drink, including a caramel-colored base and a creamy upper layer. Find it at Honeydukes™ in Universal Islands of Adventure or Sugarplum’s Sweetshop in Universal Studios Florida.

With a magical candy store in every park, Universal Orlando Resort offers plenty of ways to bring your favorite Butterbeer™ flavors home for a midnight snack.
