Universal’s Great Movie Escape is an innovative experience that goes beyond typical escape rooms. To create it, Universal’s award-winning entertainment team partnered closely with escape room industry experts and the visionary Jurassic World and Back to the Future filmmakers.

Part of what makes Universal’s Great Movie Escape so unique is the wide variety of challenges, which you’ll need to cooperate with your team to complete. Each room is also specifically designed to be enjoyable for novices and experienced escapees alike. To that end, activities in both adventures are:
- Randomized, so the solution can vary with each visit;
- Story-driven, as you must complete tasks as part of an immersive, original story;
- Customizable depending on party size, ensuring everyone gets to participate; and,
- Adjustable based on skill level and complexity, so there’s always a challenge to solve.
After entering the art deco, theater-inspired venue, you’ll be swept into your choice of the following experiences. Be sure to think fast and work together with your group to achieve success!
Jurassic World: Escape
Congratulations: You’ve landed a job as a geneticist at a secret lab on Isla Nublar. While undergoing training that includes everything from feeding ferocious dinosaurs to splicing DNA to create new genetic codes, you learn that an apex predator has broken free. Now, you must race against the clock to avoid becoming its prey.
Back to the Future: OUTATIME
The story begins as you’re transported to a museum in 1993, where you learn that Back to the Future antagonist Biff Tannen has stolen Doc Brown’s newest time travel device to sabotage the space-time continuum. Work together to uncover Doc’s secret clues as you travel through time, track down Biff, and save the past and the future before you run “OUTATIME.”
Tickets for each experience start at $49.99 per person plus tax, and private sessions for up to eight people are available starting at $300 per experience plus tax. Want to celebrate your victory — or give yourself a little boost going into the escape rooms? Stop by the venue’s two bars, both of which serve specialty cocktails inspired by the featured film franchises. One way or another, you are sure to escape!
