Inside Illumination’s Minion Land

Just inside the front gates of Universal Studios Florida, Minion Land is a candy-colored whirlwind of vibrant sights, flavors and sounds inspired by the Despicable Me film franchise. As you walk down Illumination Avenue, you might see beloved characters like Gru, Agnes and the Minions, dig into Minion-approved fare, and even catch a whiff of banana popcorn.

Joining Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast, a first-of-its-kind attraction where you can compete to become the world’s next supervillain. Score big with some help from The Official Universal Orlando Resort app, then head to the brand-new Illumination’s Theater to meet some familiar friends from the Despicable Me and Sing film franchises.

Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast

Channel your inner baddie and blast your way to victory at Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast, where you’ll compete to join the Vicious Six and become the world’s next supervillain. See some of the latest bad guy gear at Villain-Con, then pick up your own E-Liminator X Blaster in a chaotic competition to show who’s the baddest of them all.

The groundbreaking free-range attraction puts you in the center of the action thanks to a first-of-its-kind moving walkway. It’s also the first to offer a connected gameplay experience via The Official Universal Orlando Resort app. Not only can you use the app to track your top scores, but you can create a customized interface, earn digital collectibles and unlock even more diabolical perks to help you level up to victory.

After you prove your mettle, stop by the Evil Stuff shop to load up on Villain-Con swag, including your very own E-Liminator X Blaster.

Eat Like a Minion

Eat your way through Illumination’s Minion Land with Minion-approved bites, from pastries and popcorn to full meals inspired by the Despicable Me films.

Illumination’s Minion Cafe

Relax if you dare and let the minions do the cooking at Illumination’s Minion Cafe, a banana-hued eatery packed with inventive, photo-worthy creations. Try Otto’s Noodle Despica-Bowl, made with turmeric-dyed ramen noodles, or go for veggie-friendly options like Carl’s Crispy Cauliflower with coconut blue rice. The menu includes vegan and vegetarian dishes, along with colorful fare for common food sensitivities like gluten, dairy, shellfish and nuts.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Minion meal without dessert, so indulge your sweet tooth with the bubblegum-scented Fluffy Unicorn Cupcake or Otto’s Pet Rock, a chocolate-coated peanut butter, banana and jelly treat.

Bake My Day

You’ll find even more goodies at Bake My Day, a whimsical bakery serving colorful cupcakes, s’mores, macarons, cookies, cake pops and other decadent delights, along with sweet specialty merchandise.

Freeze Ray Pops

Chill out with a colorful assortment of ice pops at Freeze Ray Pops, a walk-up counter serving everything from classic mango, cotton candy and lemon mint popsicles to specialty blue banana pops inspired by the Minions themselves.

Pop-a-Nana

Sample a diabolical new spin on a classic theme park snack at Pop-a-Nana, which sells — you guessed it — banana flavored popcorn. You can also score fantastic frosty “poptions” like the fruit-forward PX-41 Punch and banana-flavored The Antidote, both pictured above.
