Penguin Trek: A Cool Adventure for Everyone
Penguin Trek’s innovative design redefines the family coaster experience, accommodating everyone from young adventurers as low as 42 inches to thrill-seekers up to 77 inches tall. After making your way through the blessedly air-conditioned, indoor queue, you’ll board unique snowmobile-style ride cars before embarking on an expedition through Antarctica’s vast, icy wilderness.
And what a thrilling expedition it is! Prepare for not one, but two powerful launches and speeds up to 43 mph as the 3,020-foot track blasts through indoor and outdoor environments full of twists, turns and breathtaking moments. For animal lovers, the true highlight comes at the very end — when you disembark amid the chilly confines of SeaWorld’s extraordinary penguin habitat, highlighting the park’s commitment to animal care and conservation.
Our take: Penguin Trek is an attraction that can truly be enjoyed by all ages, charting a cool course between wild and mild for riders of all ages who meet the height requirements. And for fans of coasters and/or penguins, it’s a must-do!
A ride this cool deserves an equally cool home, which SeaWorld has created courtesy of its all-new Antarctica Realm. In addition to hosting Penguin Trek and the expansive penguin habitat, this captivating area features the latest addition to the park’s vibrant bar scene: South Pole Sips, serving appropriately ice-cold beer, canned selections and frozen cocktails.
Antarctica Realm also features the newly reopened Expedition Cafe, which boasts a diverse reimagined menu with something for every palate. And even if you’re not boarding the park’s newest attraction, you can still visit Antarctica Realm’s penguin habitat for up-close encounters with its beloved residents.
