Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf
Our first stop on the map is Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf, located next to ICON Park® on International Drive. This iconic mini-golf attraction features two courses: one for the new mini golfer, and one for the more seasoned veteran. Both courses will immerse you into the world of pirates while you enjoy some amazing views of all that surrounds it.

Our family ranges in ages from 1 to 28 years old, and we can vouch for the fact that we all had a grand ol’ time. We went with the easier Captain’s Course, which featured stairs that rose above the lagoon and gave us a bird’s-eye view of all the scenery. The other course is called Blackbeard’s Challenge.
Pirate’s Cove is high on our list for the views it offers, and for the fun theme that captivated our kids with every hole and obstacle we encountered. In the end, the kids received celebratory gift bags to commemorate their game — a fun perk to an already amazing mini-golf course.
We spent two and a half hours playing this course as a family of five. With so much to do nearby, you are sure to find a great place to eat and even additional activities to add to your day.
Congo River Golf
If you’re looking for a course that’s going to entertain the entire family for a day’s worth of fun, you want to check out Congo River Golf in the Lake Buena Vista area. This one is the total package: Not only do you get 18 holes of mini golf, but you’ll also find a game within a game, with fun trivia to be played throughout.
Some holes even feature a wheel every player must spin for an additional fun challenge. For example, I was lucky enough to have landed on the challenge of playing the hole with my eyes closed — the kids sure had a ball with that one!
Once finished, you can feed live gators and maybe even get to hold one, but that’s not all. You can also mine for gems, play a game of basketball that is sure to test your skills, and finish the fun by spending some tokens in the arcade. With so much to do, you can spend a good chunk of your day here and again find yourself near so many delicious restaurants, unique activities and Orlando icons.
Hollywood Drive-In Golf at Universal CityWalk
While you find yourself at some of the major attractions, did you know that mini golf is never too far away? For example, take Hollywood Drive-In Golf at Universal CityWalk, part of Universal Orlando Resort. Here, you can go hunting for aliens or hunting for ghosts on two 1950s “double feature” movie-themed courses: Invaders From Planet Putt and The Haunting of Ghostly Greens.

If you’re like us, you’ll be hunting for both. Everyone in the family had an absolute blast with the creatively designed courses. You’ll be immersed in the experience, whether that be the ghost or the alien side, and you’ll find surprises at every turn — or should I say at every swing of the golf club.
The Haunting holes were fully accessible, and we were able to bring in our stroller and maneuver with ease. The Planet Putt holes did feature some stairs, so keep that in mind when planning your mini-golf adventure.
Mini Golf at Walt Disney World® Resort
At Walt Disney World® Resort, you have four mini-golf courses only minutes away from where you may be staying on Disney property.
Courses at Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf feature a never-ending Christmas theme, including classic Christmas on The Winter Course and a Florida Christmas on The Summer Course. Both are delightful, accessible to strollers and mobility vehicles, and the epitome of an immersive experience. You might even catch yourself in the middle of a snowstorm while it’s 90 degrees and sunny in Orlando.
Disney’s Fantasia Gardens and Fairway Miniature Golf is located next to the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. The first course, Fantasia Fairways, is a true miniature version of golf with greens that are sure to put a veteran golfer’s skills to the test. I was told by my golf-loving husband that this is the course that all golf lovers would enjoy.
Next to it, you’ll find Fantasia Gardens, where you go on an adventure with Mickey Mouse as he tries to become the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Themed after the film, Fantasia, this whimsical course is filled with creative obstacles that are sure to entertain everybody in your party. Keep a look out for the water, which can come at you from any direction — don’t say we didn’t warn you!
PopStroke
If you haven’t thought of mini golf as an amazing date night, it’s time to do so. With so many different styles and themed courses, it’s guaranteed fun for you and your special someone. With that said, our next course is PopStroke, a place designed by one of golf’s greatest, Tiger Woods. This option brings the game to everyone who wants to play it while adding fun, unique touches to make it a perfect place for date night.
With a more realistic approach, this mini-golf course is like a mini version of golf but with a fun twist: You can have food and drinks delivered right to the hole that you’re playing on. With TV screens all around playing that day’s sporting events and a giant screen showcasing the scores along the mini-golf course, you can enjoy the game day while also being part of the game yourself.
We enjoyed some good drinks and a friendly yet competitive game of putt-putt. An extremely family-friendly course as well, it features a playground for the kids to enjoy once you’re done with your round, plus many other activities like foosball and cornhole. It also has an ice cream shop, so you could come here to have dinner, a game of mini golf and dessert. Another total package with a little twist, located at Waterford Lakes Town Center east of downtown Orlando.
It’s Your Turn to Play
We are a family of five featuring three kids ages 1 to 6, and mini golf is a favorite activity of ours. And with so many courses throughout Orlando featuring amazing themes and extra activities, the mini-golf fun is endless.
