Our first night, we had pork sliders with a side salad while the girls enjoyed some hot dogs, and we all snacked on nachos. We were more than full on all the offerings and ready for some downtime enjoying our amazing room, which was the perfect setup for our family of five.
Upon opening the door to our suite, we walked into the living space with a couch that can serve as a pull-out bed, a TV and a kitchenette set up with a sink, fridge and microwave. Did I mention all the counter space to set things? For us, that looks like baby bottles, sippy cups and all the snacks.

Make your way down the room and you will find the restroom, fully equipped and spacious, plus another sink with a mirror on the outside so we could all get ready at the same time. Past the bathroom and beyond a door that can close to separate the two queen beds, you’ll find the main room. We asked for a pack-and-play, and it was placed and turned down in our main room before our arrival.
We travel with a double stroller, our luggage and three kids, and thanks to Drury welcoming all pets, our boy got to join us on this trip. Still, not once did we feel crowded in our room. The kids ran around playing, and they watched TV in the living room while mom and dad relaxed.
As night fell, the view from our room was the Orlando skyline lit up with all its icons like The Orlando Eye at ICON Park®, roller coasters at SeaWorld® Orlando, and even some of Universal’s Cinematic Celebration at Universal Orlando Resort — a perfect way to end our day.
Included with your stay is a full American breakfast buffet every morning between 6 and 10:30 a.m., where you’ll find something for every member of your party. From eggs, oatmeal, cereal and an assortment of bread, to fresh off-the-griddle pancakes with warm maple syrup, breakfast is covered when staying at Drury Plaza Hotel. One less expense to worry about, and a great way to fuel up to begin our day.

Ten Minutes From the Magic
Only a 10-minute walk from the hotel brings us to one of our favorite places to go when we want a bit of magic. Disney Springs has so much to offer, and many of its offerings come at no cost to you.
As we walked down the bridge, the first thing we saw was our kid’s favorite: the hidden Mickey splash pad, a perfect place for the little ones to cool down after all the walking. Another favorite stop is The LEGO® Store. After checking out all the wonderful LEGO sets, at the store’s exit is a LEGO play yard for kids and adults, where you can build cars to race down the track. They also have a table with DUPLO® bricks for the little ones and awesome LEGO-made life-size creations, like Sorcerer Mickey and your favorite Star Wars characters.

Bring your kid’s dancing shoes if you’re headed to Disney Springs on Saturdays, as a dance party is happening all morning long to get them moving with interactive activities as well as performances from various acts like the Juggling Jacks. All this at no cost. The goal here is to remain budget-friendly, which is an easy task at Disney Springs.

We decided to visit one of our favorite spots, Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, and fed our family of five for under $50: two drinks, two pies, and a shared mac & cheese. We even ended up with leftovers that we snacked on later.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. Have you heard of the Disney Springs Art Walk? Make sure to check it out on your visit and see all the magnificent work done by local artists and their magical flair on Disney favorites like Rafiki, located between the shops Kate Spade New York and Jo Malone London.
Discover: Instagrammable Orlando
As we made our way out of Disney Springs, we stopped by the AdventHealth Waterside Stage to catch one of the many performances that happen throughout the day; it’s located right in front of World of Disney. This time, we watched musical theater by some seriously talented kids performing fan-favorite show tunes. On previous visits, we’ve watched the traditional baile folklórico performed by a Chicago dance group, as well as a live band covering today’s hits and getting the party started.

The Perfect End to a Perfect Stay
A few steps away from the stage is the bridge to head back to Drury, and we were back in another short, 10-minute walk. Upon returning to the hotel, we stopped by the coffee bar that is complementary to all hotel guests, providing some much-needed energy after all the fun that was had at Disney Springs.

Before heading back to our room, we stopped by to pick up some complimentary popcorn and refreshments, also available to all guests as a part of your stay every day beginning at 4 p.m. I meant it when I said the amenities are vast at Drury Plaza Hotel!
We made our way back up to our room to prepare for the rest of our evening. After nap time, up next were complimentary evening bites accompanied by drinks, with a plan to swim the end of our night away and catch a glimpse of the EPCOT® fireworks, which can be seen from Drury Plaza’s saltwater pool. The perfect ending to a magical gateway at the newest Disney Springs Resort Area hotel.
