Revolution Adventures

Franco’s Orlando adventures start and conclude at our newest vacation resort, Evermore Orlando Resort, close to Walt Disney World® Resort, providing a luxurious base camp. From there, she sets off on a series of mild to wild outdoor experiences, with a refreshing stop in Lake Nona for a midday meal. Visited locations include:

  • Rock Springs Run State Reserve: One of Orlando’s true hidden gems, Rock Springs Run boasts crystal-clear waters that maintain a constant 68-degree, year-round temperature. Franco boarded a clear kayak from Get Up & Go Kayaking to take in the gorgeous scenery and wildlife in Apopka, northwest of downtown Orlando.
  • Revolution Adventures: At this off-road adventure park near Walt Disney World, Franco drove an ATV and an amphibious Mucky Duck vehicle, and also played some archery tag.
  • Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park: Also close to Walt Disney World, this attraction features a one-of-a-kind obstacle course where you’ll zip line, climb, run and jump to victory for adventurers of all ages.

Boxi Park in Lake Nona
  • Boxi Park: At this unique, family-friendly outdoor gathering area in Lake Nona, close to Orlando International Airport, Franco sampled favorites from each of Boxi Park’s shipping container restaurants: Fowl Play, Claw & Order, Canonita Street Taqueria, Hops & Vine, Before It Melts, La Cajita, and The Grill Next Door. Per Franco, “You can take a lap and eat different cultures without leaving this area.”
  • Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures: Franco experiences her first-ever airboat tour at Flying Eagle Preserve in Clermont near Walt Disney World.
  • Crystal River: An easy day trip from Orlando, this natural attraction is the only place in the U.S. where you can swim with wild manatees.

“This was truthful,” says Franco about her experiences. “It was real. It was lush. It was natural. It was … earthy in the best way. I loved it. And I don’t think I’ll see Orlando the same again.” See for yourself in our episode of The Next Turn, available now from Expedia. Even if you normally prefer being indoors vs. outside, you’ll want to experience these natural adventures for yourself!
