West Orange Trail
The West Orange Trail is one of the most popular trails in Orlando, spanning 22 miles and winding through the urban and suburban parts of Orange County. The trail is commonly started at its Winter Garden trailhead, where you can enjoy some ice cream, craft brew and a food market featuring 20 local vendors.

Continue on to breeze past Lake Apopka and through the old town of Oakland. The trail leads you through several stretches of diverse environments, spotlighting the natural beauty of our cities and truly showcasing why this path is a favorite amongst visitors and locals alike.
Orlando Urban Trail
Despite the short run of this trail, there is no shortage of beauty. Considered by many to be the most scenic trail in the Orlando Trail Network, the Orlando Urban Trail is a 3-mile-long and 12-foot-wide path that takes you from the Lake Highland oasis in Mills 50 down to Mead Garden in vibrant Winter Park, connecting to six lakes and Gaston Edwards Park on the way.

Following this path also leads you through Loch Haven Park in Ivanhoe Village, where a towering oak tree that’s as old as the Constitution resides, nicknamed “The Mayor.” The view is elevated by outdoor artwork that complements the natural surroundings, thanks to the nearby Mennello Museum of American Art and Orlando Museum of Art.

Shingle Creek Trail: Phase 1 — Segment 1 & Phase 2
The most popular trailhead for beginning the 12-foot-wide Shingle Creek Trail can be found at Eagle Nest Park, just a few minutes west of downtown Orlando. The park is loved by locals for being the ideal area to birdwatch, so try to catch sight of eagles and storks — among many other bird varieties — before embarking on your ride.
Though Shingle Creek Trail isn’t fully constructed, there are still 12 gorgeous miles complete in Orange County. The final two miles lead you to Destination Parkway in the International Drive District and host two overlook points for aesthetic photos and potential wildlife spotting.

Orlando Southeast Trail
The Orlando Southeast Trail is made up of interconnecting trails near and in Lake Nona, and its pathways offer a lovely alternative for getting around the neighborhood. The pathway runs for 13 miles and is 12 feet wide, travelling through Lake Nona’s Town Center, Laureate Park and Heroes Community Park. The main trailhead can be found in Heroes Community Park, where the trail takes you up and near Orlando International Airport.

If you have an eye for nature, you’ll enjoy riding along this off-street path and encountering diverse landscapes, birds and reptiles. The trail also hosts a nice spotting of trees along its path, making it a pleasant summer biking route.
Cady Way Trail
A trailhead for the 12-feet wide Cady Way Trail can be found in Winter Park, where the path extends just over 7 miles down to Lake Druid Park in the charming Audubon Park Garden District. The trail passes through multiple restaurants and retail centers, alongside plenty of shady trees, benches and water fountains, turning it into the perfect pathway for someone hoping to get some fitness into their shopping routines.

Little Econ Greenway Trail
Little Econ Greenway Trail is named for the Little Econlockhatchee River that the path closely follows. Along the 7.4-mile ride, you can spot rabbits, turtles and maybe some hawks. The trail travels through Blanchard Park and is a poster picture for serenity if you’re looking for a quiet ride along a river.
There are multiple popular access points, such as Blanchard Park itself, Arcadia Acres Park or S.R. 50 in east Orlando.
Lake Apopka Loop Trail
This unpaved trail extends 14.6 miles from Apopka’s Magnolia Park trailhead to the other side of the lake, near the Lake County line. You can even continue a couple of miles further down to reach Green Mountain Scenic Overlook and Trailhead, revealing a breathtaking panoramic shot of the area you’ve just traversed.
Lake Apopka Loop Trail is well-known as a place to spot some gators in the wild, so make sure to keep an eye out (and maybe a camera, too) when riding along the wetlands. It’s northwest of downtown Orlando.
Kissimmee Lakefront Park
Public parks can offer a more accessible way to enjoy Central Florida’s sprawling biking routes. Kissimmee Lakefront Park is one such example, located 30 minutes southeast of Walt Disney World® Resort and a short walk away from downtown Kissimmee.

Multiple trails run around or through the park, with frequent places to refresh under the shade — ideal for family rides. The more popular scenic paths are two single-mile trails that start at Big Toho Marina or Ruby Plaza and lead down to Neptune Road, passing by the peaceful lake as you cruise.
Wekiwa Springs State Park
Encompassing a wondrous 7,000 acres, Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka is a beautiful example of the natural beauty that Orange County has to offer. Alongside the opportunity to go snorkeling, hiking or fishing, you can also ride along two idyllic biking trails, spanning 8 and 9 miles with portable toilets available along the way. Be prepared to spot a variety of large birds, maybe some deer and possibly even a black bear.

Located only a mile away from Walt Disney World, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress boasts an extensive collection of outdoor recreational activities over 1,500 acres, including golf, watersports and biking. The resort has beautiful nature trails that you can ride along, as well as a collection of bike rentals for your convenience.

At award-winning Caribe Royale Orlando, you can find an expansive recreational property for swimming, fishing, relaxing and yes, even biking. Using the resort’s complimentary bike rentals, you can ride around Caribe Royale’s scenic property and take in its tranquil beauty.

If you choose to ride West Orange Trail, one of your best options for renting is Bikes & Blades Co. in historic Winter Garden. Bikes & Blades offers road bikes, sport comfort bikes, kids bikes and trailers rented on an hourly, daily or weekly basis. They’ll even deliver anywhere in Central Florida for a nominal free.
You can also book a bicycle tour with a knowledgeable representative hailing from the nearby Winter Garden Heritage Museum, who will lead you along West Orange and South Lake Trail while providing commentary on the scenery’s agricultural history.
