Providing a unique way to chase the ultimate runner’s high every January, the iconic race is one of several high-profile marathons, ultramarathons and half-marathons hosted by Orlando and surrounding cities each year — including these standouts!
Ultramarathons in Orlando
Hosted by Seminole County Triathletes (SCT), this half-day event is not for beginners!
SCT Dawn to Dusk 12-Hour Team Challenge (February)
This race consists of a 1-mile loop at a predetermined location in Seminole County, about 35 minutes north of downtown Orlando. Participants have the option of racing solo for the entire, 12-hour duration, or as a team with up to six members.

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend (January)
runDisney’s signature event, the Walt Disney World Marathon traditionally runs through all four of Walt Disney World® Resort’s theme parks, plus the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The race weekend also features a half-marathon, 10K and 5K.
Town of Celebration Marathon (January)
This race, which also has half-marathon and 5K options, runs through Celebration, a master-planned community dreamed up by Walt Disney and just 15 minutes from Walt Disney World.

Orlando Xtreme Half-Marathon (February)
Also featuring a 5K, this 13.1-mile race starts in the Lake Apopka Restoration Area in Astatula, about 40 minutes from downtown Orlando.
Disney’s Princess Half-Marathon (February)
Join the world-famous Disney Princesses for this race, which also includes a 10K and 5K. The half-marathon runs through Magic Kingdom® Park and EPCOT®.
Star Wars Rival Run Weekend (April)
Feel the power of the Force in this Star Wars-themed race. A 10K, 5K and kids’ races are also offered, with all three courses going through Walt Disney World, plus a virtual half-marathon that you run at home.
Best Damn Race Orlando (September)
Race into fall with Orlando’s edition of this regional marathon, as well as a 10K and 5K. All three start in Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando.
Disney Wine & Dine Half-Marathon Weekend (November)
This race goes through Walt Disney World. It’s preceded by a 5K and 10K.
OUC Orlando Half-Marathon (December)
This race and its 10K and 5K options run through downtown Orlando, finishing with a post-race party at Lake Eola Park.
