Orlando Dining & Entertainment Districts

Orlando Districts

Whether you're here for business, for pleasure or a bit of both, Orlando offers everything you expect from a major city, including several distinct dining and entertainment districts, each one with a character and an atmosphere all its own.

Convention Area

When it comes to entertaining, the Convention Area -- encompassing International Drive -- makes a lasting impression. With a diverse selection of restaurants and nearly endless options, there's something here for everyone. Sip crafted cocktails at the one-of-a-kind Rocks lounge at Hyatt Regency Orlando. Play to win at Dave & Buster's. Order fresh-caught oysters and enjoy vintage wine at The Oceanaire Seafood Room. Or melt the blues away at B.B. King's Blues Club. Make this your executive decision while satisfying many tastes, all within walking distance.

Restaurant Row

Do yourself a favor and make reservations along Restaurant Row. This stretch of Sand Lake Road -- about a five-minute drive from the Orange County Convention Center -- serves up some of the finest fare the destination has to offer at more than two dozen upscale and casual restaurants. Celebrate the night in style at a number of swanky steakhouses. Experience Roy Yamaguchi's unforgettable Polynesian-fusion menu. Swap stories over cigars or swing to live jazz. But don't say we didn't warn you -- your foodie friends will insist on posting photos of each course.

Disney/Lake Buena Vista

Big names provide plenty of star power, with exquisite fine dining, casually elegant eateries and first-class entertainment. Host a private reception under the fireworks and just listen for the "wows." Sample the refined menus of Cat Cora, Todd English, Wolfgang Puck and Don Shula. Drive the exotic car of your dreams. Just don't forget to visit the Downtown Disney® Area, where top-name musical acts and one-of-a-kind shows like La NoubaTM by Cirque du Soleil® dazzle and inspire.

Universal/CityWalk

This self-contained universe offers an electrifying selection of dining and nightlife experiences courtesy of the CityWalk® entertainment complex and adjacent hotels. Hold court at Emeril's Orlando. Hang out at the Velvet Bar in the Hard Rock Hotel and become part of the rock ‘n' roll legend. Get surreal with the Blue Man Group. Or chill out island-style at Bob Marley - A Tribute to FreedomSM. You'll wake up the next morning feeling alive and ready to take on the world.

Downtown

With a sizable skyline, downtown Orlando is both a vibrant entertainment district and a collection of trendy neighborhoods. Dine from an impressive range of global and regional flavors, then head to the Amway Center for a basketball game or a concert from a band you just watched on SNL. Buy the first round at a roof-top lounge, followed by dancing at a high-energy nightclub. Or take in a Broadway show or laugh hysterically at a local improv group. Like the song says, things will be great when you're downtown.

Winter Park

New-world sophistication meets old-world charm in Winter Park, a picturesque city where arts and culture are part of everyday life. Spend a relaxing evening on tree-lined Park Avenue, a lush neighborhood that includes chic bistros, fine dining, gastro pubs, trendy wine rooms, museums, art galleries and specialty boutiques. There is also a large concentration of independent restaurants, many proudly serving locally sourced menus. Visit and you'll soon understand why the area has been dubbed the "Rodeo Drive of the South."

Surrounding Areas

Orlando is a large destination. And we divided it into six dining districts. But that doesn't mean you'll only find great restaurants and entertainment within those boundaries. There are other areas waiting for you to experience, so come on - it's time to explore.
