To support Orlando's restaurant community through the challenges of COVID-19 and encourage residents to take advantage of takeout and delivery options, Visit Orlando is launching a special “Orlando To Go" campaign starting today. The campaign includes a website directory VisitOrlando.com/togo of more than 400 restaurants throughout Orlando that are now offering takeout and delivery options, as well as social media sharing of residents’ own favorite local restaurants that are offering delivery at this time.

The program launch coincides with today’s national #TheGreatAmericanTakeout day, which invites people across the country to show their support for restaurants and their employees by eating at least one delivery or takeout meal.

“We must come together as a community to support our local business and the people who are employed by them,” said George Aguel, president and CEO of Visit Orlando. “While we may not be able to enjoy everything our destination normally offers, we can each do our part by seeking out delivery and takeout options from Orlando’s incredible collection of restaurants who need us right now.”

With the current statewide mandate for restaurants to only serve takeout or delivery, many local restaurants have created unique menus including family-style options, craft beer, cocktails to go and more. Follow @VisitOrlando on social media for additional updates and residents are encouraged to use #orlandotogo meals to inspire others to support local.

To establish the site, Visit Orlando contacted its hundreds of member restaurants to determine which restaurants are currently open and serving take-out and delivery, but the program encourages Central Floridians to support all local restaurants. The website also includes links to other local listings of available dining options, and encourages locals to share with the community their own local favorites on @VisitOrlando’s Twitter, Instagram and Facebook channels.
