Ring in the New Year in Orlando 

Named 2021's 3rd Best City for New Year’s by WalletHub.com, Orlando visitors can experience New Year’s Eve in some of the most memorable and magical spots – from theme park firework spectaculars to rooftop parties, thrilling nightlife and much more. 

THEME PARK CELEBRATIONS 

  • At the Walt Disney World Resort, Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will remain open for guests until midnight. Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom Park can experience the new Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks as they welcome 2022, while EPCOT guests can enjoy exclusive New Year's Countdown Fireworks at World Showcase. 

  • SeaWorld Orlando will ring in the new year with an evening complete with exciting shows, amazing animals, thrilling rides and a fireworks finale.   

  • LEGOLAND Florida Resort will light up the skies with a nightly New Year’s Eve fireworks show Dec. 26-31 as part of Holidays at LEGOLAND®. The holiday event will also feature a giant LEGO Christmas tree, seasonal shows, holiday characters, special treats, LEGO® activities, twinkling lights and more. 

SWANKY CELEBRATIONS 

  • The Edison at Disney Springs will host a New Year’s Eve gala complete with live entertainment, world-class dining and an open dance floor. The festivities begin at 8 p.m. with performances from The Sound Society Radio Show, The Pearls burlesque trio, stilt walkers, an aerialist, DJ, and more.  

  • Illume, at the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa, will offer a Japanese inspired Bonenkai Party, Japanese for “Forget the previous year” to say goodbye to 2021. From the breathtaking rooftop view guests will receive an 180-degree fireworks display along with live DJ entertainment.   

  • ICEBAR Orlando's Hollywood New Year’s Eve Bash will feature casino games, live DJ entertainment, ice sculptures, free digital souvenir photos, raffle giveaways and a special “celebrity” guest Britney Spears impersonator.

Plan a Wellness Getaway in Orlando 

From mocktail hot spots to hotels with unique amenities prioritizing health and wellness, Orlando offers new year-round options to unwind and keep fit on their Orlando getaway: 

WHAT’S NEW 

  • Lake Nona Wave Hotel, opening late-December, provides guests access to the just opened Lake Nona Performance Club, the region's most advanced fitness center featuring partnerships with the world’s most innovative human performance the Chopra Mind-Body Zone and Spa (located at the nearby Lake Nona Performance Club), offering in-club massage suites that feature Ayurvedic massages which combines 5,000-year-old Indian principles of Ayurveda-the science of life-and pressure points. This type of massage also utilizes warm herbs and oils as well as non-traditional strokes and kneading to create a balance between mind, body, and spirit

  • The Tuscan-inspired, 126-room ette Hotel Orlando will open spring 2022 near Disney. Ette hotel, an alcohol-free property focused on wellness, will offer unparalleled culinary experiences in partnership with Michelin Star Chef Akira Back, along with The Spa at ette, providing services for everyone from the modern minimalist to the unruly naturalist.  

  • The BANDBOX – Orlando, Central Florida’s first alcohol-free cocktail tasting lounge and package shop, will open in spring 2022 at Ivanhoe Village.

Budget-friendly Attractions under $25 

From quirky interactive museums to relaxing boat rides, Orlando offers a variety of cost-effective activities for $25 and under.  

  • Located at ICON Park, Museum of Illusions Orlando, a brain-bending “edutainment” experience, features optical, photographic, holographic and interactive illusions, starting at $20.95 per person.  

  • Dezerland Action Park, Orlando's largest indoor entertainment complex, offers free entry and features a variety of family activities all $25 and under, including the Orlando Auto Museum, one of the largest privately-owned collections of automobilia in the world, with over 100 TV and movie cars; glow-in-the-dark mini golf; an indoor trampoline park; a bowling alley; an indoor karting track; axe-throwing games and more.  

  • The Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour offers a relaxing narrated cruise through the lakes and canals of historic Winter Park, this peaceful boat tour showcases natural wildlife and mansions that line the waterways. Admission is $15 per adult and $8 for children. 

  • In the heart of downtown Orlando, the Lake Eola Park Swan Boat Rentals can be enjoyed for $15 per boat for 30 minutes of pure pedal-powered fun. Guests can view the park, surrounding cityscape and the iconic Lake Eola fountain up close Friday through Sunday.
