  • Orlando's Pride Month kicks off in June to promote inclusivity through events, nightlife and activities that welcome all. Orlando, Recognized by the 2022 Gay Travel Awards, has been a pioneer in LGBTQ+ tourism dating back to the original Gay Days in 1991. The “city beautiful” has earned a perfect score from the Human Rights Campaign's Municipal Equality Index, which measures the LGBTQ+ inclusiveness of cities' laws, policies, and services. Some of the most anticipated happenings include: GayDays (running through June 5); Girls in Wonderland (June 1-5); One Magical Weekend (June 1-5); the 7th annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run and Family Festival (June 3); and the annual Pulse Remembrance Ceremony (June 12).

  • Orlando's culinary scene was recognized by the prestigious MICHELIN Guide once again. Now with 46 total restaurants – including four starred venues, 11 Bib Gourmands and 31 Recommended – the guide's selection features new additions representing a variety of cuisines, including Cuban, Korean, Filipino, New American, among many others.  

  • Some of the newest recognized restaurants include Otto’s High Dive in the Milk District, Doshi in Winter Park, Kaya on Mills 50, Twenty Pho Hour on International Drive and Victoria & Albert’s inside Disney’s Grand Floridian.   • New to downtown Orlando, Luminary Nights on the Green, a 20-minute show at the city’s newest park, turns the iconic Orlando sign into a canvas with projected animations and lighting set to music. The display, running from dusk till 10 p.m. nightly, showcases Orlando’s unique and authentic features, such as nature, innovation, thrills and hospitality.
                

What’s New and Upcoming Around Orlando 

  • Pipeline: The Surf Coaster will open on May 27 at SeaWorld Orlando. The attraction will be the world’s first “Surf Coaster,” offering immersive design elements and reaching top speeds of 60mph.  

  • Go Xtreme, LEGOLAND’s all-new stunt show, will debut May 27. Visitors have the exciting opportunity to join a "live studio audience" and witness an exhilarating showcase of stunt artists, including BMX riders, scooter riders and an array of crowd-thrilling performers.  

  • The Wheel at ICON Park debuted “The Great Florida Road Trip,” an all-new interactive enhancement and the first gaming experience inside of an observation wheel, in April. The experience takes visitors on a nostalgic holiday through midcentury Florida before the era of theme parks and resorts. Guests will help capture snapshots, through a camera-style device, of Florida vacation spots through a collection of billboards. 

  • At the new Peter Pan themed pop-up bar at The Oliv Bar in Downtown Orlando, guests are whisked away to the island of Neverland while sipping delicious, themed drinks during the 90-minute interactive experience.  

  • Wayback Burgers, an all-new restaurant serving hand-made burgers and hand-dipped milkshakes, celebrated its grand opening earlier this month. The new burger spot is located near Orlando International Airport (MCO). 

  • Red Panda Noodle, a noodle pop-up from local chefs, Eliot Hills and Seth Park, launched a food trailer in Orlando this month. The menu features fan-favorites including Bourbon Chicken, Garlic Noodles and Grilled Noodle Skewers.
