Celebrate Juneteenth in Orlando, a diverse, welcoming and inclusive community. Locals and visitors of all backgrounds and cultures can commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and the ongoing pursuit of equality. Here are some ways to observe Juneteenth in Orlando: 

  • Explore historic Eatonville, known as the “town that freedom built.” This historic town is one of the oldest incorporated African American municipalities in the United States. While visiting, stop by the Zora Neale Hurston Museum and the Wells’Built Museum to learn more about how the historic town came to be.
