Nate Chivers performs his own original compositions on the electric guitar. Drawing from Classical, Pop, Jazz and Rock music, he uses an unorthodox approach to the guitar that he has developed over the last 5 years. Bell-like harmonics, percussive muting, rich harmonies, and hummable melodies litter his compositions creating an intimate atmosphere that draws the audience in. This will be a unique experience for anyone interested in new approaches to the electric guitar.
Originally from Massachusetts, Chivers now lives in Central Florida and recently received a PhD from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK. His music, which can be described as contemplative, inventive and playful, reflects his varied influences.
