Facets of Freedom: A Celebration of Juneteenth

Join us for a night of remembrance and celebration of the contributions of Black culture in the arts as we commemorate Juneteenth, the historic national holiday that marks the end of slavery in the United States. Facets of Freedom 2023 will take place on June 19th, 2023 at the Renaissance Theatre Company, starting at 7pm.
This interdisciplinary arts event will be a time for us to reflect on our history, celebrate our vibrant community, and honor the sacrifices of those who came before us. As a community of artists, we believe in the power of creativity and expression to inspire change and bring people together.
We will have musical performances, dance, and spoken word that showcase the richness of African American artistry and the resilience of our community. In addition, we will have a visual art exhibit featuring Black Central Florida artists, giving you an opportunity to appreciate their unique talents and perspectives as well as purchase local Black artwork.
As we come together to celebrate this historic national holiday, we invite you to join us in reflecting on the progress we have made and the work that still lies ahead. We believe that art has the power to heal, inspire, and bring about change, and we are committed to using our talents to build a more just and equitable world.
Don't miss the special performance from Rize Step Team, a group of talented young performers who use dance to inspire and uplift. We'll also have performances from a selection of local artists who are passionate about celebrating the legacy of Juneteenth.
Tickets for Facets of Freedom 2023 are $25 (15$ before June 1), and they include access to all the performances, as well as food and drinks from our Black owned vendors.
This event is open to everyone who shares our commitment to building a more just and equitable world. Whether you're an artist, an activist, or just starting to learn about the history of Juneteenth, we hope you'll join us for this special night.
