Magical Places to Celebrate Christmas in Orlando
Between world-famous holiday parties and parades in the theme parks, to joyous destinations beloved by locals, celebrating Christmas in Orlando is a truly magical experience. Here are some of the cheeriest locations in Orlando that are sure to keep you ho-ho-ho'ing throughout the 2017 holiday season.
Celebrate Christmas at Orlando's Theme Parks
The Magic Kingdom: On select nights from Nov. 9 to Dec. 22, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party features live entertainment, fireworks and a holiday parade. It's complemented by the Fireworks Holiday Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, which offers exclusive desserts.
Epcot: From Nov. 19–Dec. 30, the all-new Epcot International Festival of the Holidays offers 15 Holiday Kitchens. Other holiday events, such as the Candlelight Processional and IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks show, will also take place.
Disney's Hollywood Studios: The daily Jingle Bell, Jingle Jam! celebration starts Nov. 9. Similarly, Sunset Seasons Greetings brings snow to Sunset Boulevard, plus a holiday mystery. Finally, enjoy holiday-inspired snacks and VIP character meet-and-greets at the Jingle Bell, Jingle Jam! Holiday Dessert Party.
Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Encompassing Harry Potter attractions at both Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure, get ready to experience Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade all dressed up with holiday decor.
Universal Studios Florida: Every night from Nov. 18 through Jan. 6, this theme park will run its famous Universal's Holiday Parade Featuring Macy's. During the same timeframe, you can catch Mannheim Steamroller performing its top holiday hits on select days.
Universal's Islands of Adventure: Enjoy a Dr. Seuss-inspired Christmas like no other! Seuss Landing is transformed for The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular from Nov. 18 to Jan. 6, 2018. You can also attend The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast on select mornings through Dec. 25.
SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration: From Nov. 24 to Dec. 31, experience the gorgeous "Sea of Trees," plus special holiday shows starring beloved SeaWorld and Sesame Street characters. On select nights, you can even have dinner with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Christmas Bricktacular: A 30-foot Christmas tree made with 270,000 Lego and Duplo blocks is the centerpiece for this daily celebration from Dec. 2–25. Kids can also meet a life-sized Lego Santa and Lego Toy Soldier, participate in holiday scavenger hunts with prizes, and learn from Master Model Builders.
Other Locations to Celebrate Christmas Around Orlando
Christmas at Bok Tower Gardens: About an hour from Disney, beautiful Bok Tower Gardens is offering daily holiday home tours of the historic Pinewood Estate, seasonal carillon concerts, garden tours, poinsettia displays and other special features.
Ice! Featuring Christmas Around the World: From Nov. 21 through Jan. 7, 2018, Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center's annual winter celebration will feature more than 2 million pounds of hand-carved, holiday-themed ice sculptures, including a two-story ice slide, that commemorate Christmas all over the globe.
Santa Photo Experience at The Mall at Millenia: Through closing on Christmas Eve, you and your family can meet Santa Claus himself at the upscale, shopping mall. To save the memories, you can opt for a professional photography package or take your own photos.
Stetson Mansion Christmas Tour: Experience Christmas at this historic home, which boasts one of the first Christmas trees to be illuminated with electrical lights inspired by Thomas Edison. The Stetson Mansion is approximately 40 minutes north of Orlando in the city of Deland.
Winter in the Park: During select hours from Nov. 18 through Jan. 7, 2018, you and your family are invited to charming Winter Park, about 20 minutes from Orlando, for a day (or night) of skating at the holiday ice rink in Central Park's West Meadow. All-day admission is just $13 and includes skates.
