At Dezerland Park in the International Drive Entertainment District, two new family-friendly attractions — Virtual Reality (VR) Arena and Laser Tag Maze — debuted in March. In the VR Arena, play against family and friends in player vs. player mode, or team up against aliens, zombies, football players, clowns and more in player vs. enemy mode. The Laser Tag Maze features an inflatable course that can host up to 20 players in over 20 different game modes, including free-for-all and team-match options.

  • Pipeline: The Surf Coaster will become the seventh roller coaster at SeaWorld® Orlando when it debuts on May 27, 2023. Billed as the world’s first “Surf Coaster,” it offers immersive design elements, including a dynamic surfing launch and wave-jumping motions, reaching speeds of 60 mph.
  • Universal Orlando Resort will debut Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast, a first-of-its-kind diabolical family attraction, this summer at Universal Studios Florida. And at Universal CityWalk, Universal’s Great Movie Escape features two next-gen escape rooms inspired by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s blockbuster films Jurassic World and Back to the Future.

In the second edition of the MICHELIN Guide Miami, Orlando and Tampa, inspectors identified 51 MICHELIN Guide restaurants, including 13 new additions, encompassing four MICHELIN Starred venues, 11 Bib Gourmands and 31 Recommended eateries.
  • Nami, a new Japanese-inspired concept, is set to open at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel this summer. The restaurant’s intimate, 10-seat omakase counter will offer a modern approach to the traditional chef-curated experience. Its energetic cocktail bar and dining room will feature thoughtfully prepared menus offering an interpretive take on Japanese ingredients and flavors.
  • Newly opened at Pointe Orlando, JoJo’s ShakeBAR, the Chicago-based restaurant and bar, is now serving ‘80s and ‘90s nostalgia, diner fare, hand-crafted cocktails, decadent desserts, and over-the-top Biggie Shakes.
  • MILK The House of Cereal, an all-you-can-eat cereal bar experience, is now open at Dezerland Park. The new concept offers custom bowls of cereal for $5 each, featuring a variety of toppings and over 100 brands to choose from, including some options no longer sold in stores.

Amenities include a resort-style pool, splash pad and poolside dining and refreshments, as well as an extensive marketplace, a cozy dining experience, complimentary hot breakfast, shuttle service to all four Walt Disney World® Resort theme parks, and evening snacks and beverages.
  • The Alfond Inn at Rollins, the award-winning boutique hotel in the heart of historic Winter Park, will complete its property expansion and open its new wing in August as it celebrates its 10th anniversary. In addition to the renovation of the existing 112 rooms and suites in the hotel, the expansion will include an additional 71 luxury guestrooms and suites, a lobby cafe, and The Spa at The Alfond Inn, offering a wellness component through signature treatments, steam, sauna, fitness area, the hotel’s second swimming pool (with private cabanas), and an extensive outdoor living room that is available for private events.
  • Grande Lakes Orlando, anchored by The Ritz-Carlton Orlando and JW Marriott Orlando, will host seasonal celebration, GLO Summer Nights, on Saturday evenings from May 28 – Sept. 2, 2023. The summer event will feature signature weekly fireworks displays and glow-charged nights at the recently debuted Grande Lakes Waterpark, consisting of live DJ performances and glow-in-the-dark tubes, in honor of the resort’s 20th anniversary.
  • Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando added new features including the upscale Altira Rooftop Pool Lounge where you can savor seasonally influenced dishes and specialty cocktails — and reimagined spaces like the property’s signature restaurant, The Boheme, plus the Bösendorfer Lounge and guest rooms.
