Collections of Orange County's Tourist Development Tax rose 0.3% in March to $31 million, compared to the same month in 2018. The year-over-year comparison, although positive, was dampened somewhat by the later date of Easter this year, which pushed back many schools’ spring breaks. Conversely, April's occupancy rates — a factor in TDT revenue — are trending ahead of prior-year levels. March 2018 and 2019 remain the only two months where TDT revenue surpassed $30 million.
