What Unique Things is Your Business Doing?
Doing business in the time of COVID-19 has encouraged us all to work creatively. We’ve received innovative ideas from a number of members already – and want to know what you’re doing:
- New tools / resources you’re using
- How you’re staying connected to visitors, clients?
- How you’re supporting the community
Email MemberRelations@visitorlando.com - we’d love to talk with you and help share your story!
Restaurants: Promote Gift Card Purchases via Instagram
In his recent Visit Orlando webinar, Martin Stoll, CEO of Sparkloft Media shared a story featured in The Verge regarding how Instagram is trying to make it easier for small businesses to spread the word about how people can support them during the COVID-19 pandemic. Business and creator accounts can now include stickers in their stories that direct people to a website where they can order food delivery or buy gift cards! Learn more about this feature.
Orlando To Go / #407 Days
Visit Orlando’s campaign - Orlando To Go – was developed to help support our destination's local restaurants and their employees by encouraging residents to order delivery or takeout meals during this time of lockdown. In addition, Visit Orlando teamed up with Orange County to promote #407Days, a social campaign which started as a nod to the calendar date (4/07) and the county’s longtime area code and was expanded to show month-long support.
Show your support! Simply order takeout or delivery from one of the nearly 500 open restaurants, sorted by geography, on www.VisitOrlando.com/ToGo, then post a selfie or food shot using the hashtags #407Days and #OrlandoToGo. Images can also be shared on @VisitOrlando’s Twitter, Instagram and Facebook channels and Orange County.
Restaurants: Share Your Special Meals / Packages
#407Days are still going strong, continuing into May for Mother’s Day, Date Night and Graduation festivities. Make sure your takeout and delivery packages specific to date night, graduation or Mother’s Day are represented by sharing them with us today! Send to Brandon.Dodrill@visitorlando.com.
