There’s no place like home for the holidays, but visiting Orlando is an even better option — which is why Santa Claus himself is popping up at our theme parks, attractions and other locations during the lead-up to his biggest night of the year. Meet Santa at Orlando’s Theme Parks

Walt Disney World® Resort

In 2019, Walt Disney World Resort is offering multiple opportunities to meet St. Nick in person through Dec. 24. This year also marks the first time that all four of Disney’s Orlando theme parks and Disney Springs® will host holiday festivities, including Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.

At Magic Kingdom® Park, you’ll find Santa soaring through the air aboard his famous sleigh as part of the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during the specially ticketed Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Featuring the all-new “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” show, it’s available on select nights from Nov. 8 – Dec. 22.

At Epcot®, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be greeting guests at The American Adventure pavilion in World Showcase. They’re part of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, Nov. 29 – Dec. 30, which also features the Candlelight Processional, costumed storytellers from the 11 World Showcase nations, Holiday Kitchens and eye-catching holiday decor, all included with park admission.

Starting Nov. 8 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, yuletide adventures include greetings from Santa or Santa Goofy, the Sunset Seasons Greetings projection show on The Hollywood Tower Hotel, and festive decor throughout the park, including Toy Story Land.

Finally, at Disney Springs®, find the jolly man in the big red suit at Santa’s Chalet on the Christmas Tree Trail. It’s located across from Once Upon a Toy at Walt Disney World’s shopping, dining and entertainment district, which also offers everything you need to fill your holiday wish lists (and tummies).

Included with admission from Nov. 16, 2019 – Jan. 5, 2020, Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort will feature daily appearances from the mischievous Minions, Shrek, Madagascar and Santa Claus — and the jolly one’s holiday competition, The Grinch! The festivities are included with admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

First, Kris Kringle will star in Universal’s Holiday Parade Featuring Macy’s at Universal Studios Florida. Be sure to cheer him on as he keeps watch over the Minions, who are eternally on his “naughty” list. Meanwhile, at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, The Grinch will sport the legendary red suit during The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular and separately ticketed The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast.

What’s more, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for meet-and-greets on Dec. 20-24 at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando’s Harbor Piazza. On Dec. 13 & 20, guests of Universal’s Endless Summer Resort — Surfside Inn and Suites can also look forward to a visit from Santa. And at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, hang out with Santa’s elves on Dec. 1, 8 & 15.

As part of SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration, which is included with admission from Nov. 23 – Dec. 31, Santa Claus will be holding court at Wild Arctic®. You can also rub noses with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and pals and share their holiday traditions.

Meet Santa Throughout Orlando

In addition to appearing at Orlando’s theme parks, Father Christmas will make multiple stops around town this holiday season. After all, the more you visit him, the more likely you are to get everything on your wish list! (At least we think that’s how it works…)

The Mall at Millenia

While shopping for luxury-minded loved ones at this upscale mall, pay St. Nick a visit during the Santa Photo Experience. Kicking off on Nov. 8 with Santa’s Magical Arrival and running through Dec. 24, it provides a wondrous setting with many paid photo packages to choose from, and you’re also welcome to take your own photos. The Mall at Millenia is approximately 15 minutes from Universal Orlando Resort.

The Florida Mall®

Did you make a list and check it twice? Stop by Central Florida’s largest mall to finish up any last-minute shopping and meet Santa from Nov. 8 – Dec. 24. The Florida Mall is located near International Drive and Orlando International Airport.

Bass Pro Shops

On International Drive, you can get a free photo with one of Orlando’s best-kept “secret” Santas, play games and participate in various free activities. Santa will arrive during a special parade on Nov. 16 and stick around through Dec. 24.

Holiday on the Drive

Mark your calendars for this annual free celebration in College Park, just north of downtown Orlando. Featuring a visit from Santa, it takes place from 5-9 p.m. on Dec. 12.

Light Up UCF

Back for its 12th season from Nov. 22, 2019 – Jan. 5, 2020, this annual event at the University of Central Florida (UCF) features ice skating, amusement rides and photo ops with the Big Guy. (Rumor has it he’s a Knights fan!) UCF is about 20 minutes east of downtown Orlando.

Light Up the Holidays

This free event will light up Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs, about 20 minutes north of downtown Orlando, with live music, fireworks, train rides, and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. It’s scheduled for 5-9 p.m. on Dec. 7.

Wekiva Island’s Winter Wonderland

Looking for a winter wonderland in Florida? Santa was able to conjure up some magic and send some snow straight from the North Pole! Stop by to play in the flurries, experience a snow slide, and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus from Nov. 29, 2019 – Jan. 1, 2020. Wekiva Island is located in Longwood, about 20 minutes from downtown Orlando.

Winter Park Christmas Parade

Come see the star of the holiday season in this free, annual parade, held in its namesake city about 15 minutes north of downtown Orlando. Dust off your sleigh and head over to Park Avenue from 9-10:30 a.m. on Dec. 7 to participate in this fan-favorite community event.

UPDATE: Visit Orlando’s elves have just received word of another Santa Claus you have to see — or more specifically, Scuba Claus! He’s part of SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium’s Deck the Seas event, available at ICON Park™ from Dec. 6, 2019 – Jan. 6, 2020.
