A new galaxy of epic storytelling awaits at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (pictured; Matt Stroshane/©Disney, © & TM Lucasfilm Ltd.), now open in Orlando at WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort.
A long time ago in… well, our galaxy, this reporter couldn’t conceive of a cooler way to sleep than under sheets emblazoned with his favorite Star Wars characters and ships. But now that Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has arrived at Walt Disney World® Resort, my preferred bedding has been eclipsed by an incredible new option that is far more than a place to stay. It’s an adventure.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is also a must for Star Wars fans — no matter if you root for the Jedi, the Resistance, the Sith or the First Order, or even smugglers, gamblers, bounty hunters or Mandalorians. Here is what you can expect when you book passage aboard this amazing experience, which is exclusively available in Orlando.
That’s No Hotel. It’s a Starcruiser.

It’s not Star Wars without an out-of-this-world story, and Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser delivers on that front — and then some — starting with the namesake vessel itself: the Halcyon starcruiser. As legend has it, the Halcyon was indeed built a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Nearly 300 years ago to be precise, in the same Corellian shipyards that produced the Millennium Falcon. (Might have heard of it; made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, etc.)

The ship changed hands many times during the ensuing centuries, providing transportation for everything from diplomatic missions to Imperial engagements to Hutt-sponsored casino cruises, among other ventures. Recently restored to its original glory by Chandrila Star Line, the Halcyon is now staffed by an expert crew with deep knowledge of the galaxy’s space routes. Given that you’ll be journeying from the Core World of Chandrila to far-flung Batuu in the Outer Rim, that expertise will come in handy!

So, when is “now” for the Halcyon? Your voyage takes place between the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. From the moment you step aboard, you’ll become part of an engaging storyline that complements and interacts with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, as you discover what happened to Rey and Kylo Ren following the Battle of Crait. If you want to know how it ends, book your passage!
Welcome Aboard the Halcyon

Your two-night adventure begins when you arrive at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal near Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Once check-in is complete, you’ll enter a Launch Pod and watch the world fall away as you jump to hyperspace and approach the Halcyon. After docking, you’ll step into the ship’s main deck Atrium — and, as Obi-Wan Kenobi might put it, a larger world.

The Atrium is just one of several locations you’ll want to visit during your stay. Highlights include the Bridge, the Engineering Room, the Crown of Corellia Dining Room, and — of course — the Lightsaber Training Pod. Never know when those skills will come in handy! Other points of interest can be found throughout, but we don’t necessarily recommend the Brig. Given that it was added by the Empire when they controlled the ship, it’s not the coziest of environs.

To add to the immersion, viewports out to space continuously change during the journey — including the one in your passenger cabin. And when it’s time for bed, you can do so in sleeping berths reminiscent of those seen on the Millennium Falcon and other famous vessels. (More traditional beds are also available if you prefer.) No childhood Star Wars sheets can compete with that!
Forge Your Own Legend
It should go without saying that Star Wars infuses every moment aboard the Halcyon, with all details being meticulously crafted to tell a compelling, complete, all-consuming story. Specifically, your story.

On the Halcyon
The interactive saga may include encounters with famous Star Wars characters like Rey, Chewbacca and Kylo Ren, as well as Halcyon crew members, other passengers and droids. You might even meet a charming scoundrel! You should feel free to engage with other guests throughout the voyage, including everything from simply asking about their homeworlds to inviting them to take part in a mission.

For even deeper immersion, use the Star Wars: Datapad inside the Play Disney Parks mobile app to access a plethora of functions. These include invitations to secret meetings, information relating to missions and adventures, maps of the Halcyon and Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, special tools for jobs, and your personalized profile, which shows your affiliation as you live your story.

Visiting Batuu
After the Halcyon establishes orbit around Batuu, you’ll take a dedicated transport directly to the planet’s surface, disembarking through an exclusive entrance at the outpost’s Docking Bay 3. Via the Star Wars: Datapad, you can expect to receive messages from characters you meet aboard the ship to engage in planetside missions. Your reputation will evolve with each completed task, impacting how your adventures unfold after you return to the ship later that day.
Discover: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

While you’re on Batuu, you’ll receive one-time Lightning Lane entry to both signature attractions at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. You can also discover new context to these attractions’ stories, learning more about the featured characters and the ramifications of your missions.

Then, it’s back to the Halcyon for one more night among the stars — just be sure to check out everything else there is to experience at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge before you depart! These include unique retailers such as Savi’s Workshop — Handbuilt Lightsabers, Droid Depot, and Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, as well as exotic food and beverages at venues like Oga’s Cantina, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, and Ronto Roasters. And no matter if you prefer the blue or green varieties, don’t skip the Milk Stand!
Dining & Shopping Among the Stars

A galaxy’s worth of exciting food and merchandise awaits onboard the Halcyon. The dynamic and welcoming Crown of Corellia Dining Room serves breakfast and lunch buffets during the day, then comes alive each night with a lavish, multi-course, table-service menu of both otherworldly and familiar origins.

The first night’s dinner presents a live performance from Twi’lek musical superstar Gaya, who will captivate you as she glides throughout the room singing her biggest hits with an assist from a Rodian musician named Ouannii. Don’t be afraid to get up and dance if the music moves you!

On the second night, you can look forward to the Taste Around the Galaxy dinner experience, where each course hails from a different planet. Sup on blue shrimp from the dense jungles of Felucia, smoking cheeses and bread reminiscent of molten planet Mustafar, and beef and seafood native to the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk, among other delicacies you won’t find anywhere else.

Be sure to save some credits for The Chandrila Collection, an exquisite boutique located just off the Atrium. Here, you’ll find a wide assortment of the galaxy’s finest clothing and accessories, which you can wear during your voyage — and all items are only available to Halcyon passengers. Don’t miss your chance to purchase everything from an exclusive Chandrila Star Line edition of Han Solo’s favorite game, sabacc, to the Legacy Lightsaber Training Hilt and Legacy Reflective Shield, to products dedicated to the Halcyon’s SK-62O astromech droid, and much more.

Once your adventures through a galaxy far, far away conclude and you disembark, you can purchase commemorative Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser apparel, trading pins and more from the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal Shop.
Bottom line? If you or anyone in your family is a Star Wars fan, this is the adventure you’ve been looking for. Book passage to experience Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser for yourself — and may the Force be with you!
