"This is nirvana, with nets," summed up USTA President Katrina Adams, alongside tennis legends Chris Evert, James Blake and Jim Courier. The new, 100-court model tennis facility will host more than 100 international, national and local events and tournaments in 2017, and it's open to the public for recreational play.

It's All About the Courts

With more than 100 courts, the range of options for players is impressive. More than 450 tons of imported Italian red clay was used to create the six European Terre Davis red clay courts. A Nemours Family Zone is tailored to young players and adults learning the game featuring eight 36-foot and eight 60-foot courts. The tennis courts and local programs can be reserved at USTANationalCampus.com.

USTA Events

The National Campus will host approximately 100 local, regional, national and international events in the first year alone. The Campus will be open Monday-Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Collegiate Area, the new home to UCF's varsity tennis programs, will be equipped with high-mast lighting for televised events and have elevated seating for 1,200 fans. More than 300 college dual matches will be played on campus, highlighted by a "College Match Day" series.

Tennis of the Future

The USTA has partnered with PlaySight Technologies, creator of the Smart Court, whose interactive technology provides players with useful data at their fingertips, including ball speed, step count, misses, lobs, aces and more, with 32 courts participating and 84 tournament courts with live streaming.

"It will be the center of tennis innovations, from live streaming to match analysis, which is really state-of-the-art," said tennis legend Chris Evert, following a tour of the National Campus. "In a nutshell, this USTA National Campus really leaves no stone unturned. The attention to detail has been tremendous, and it will enhance our sport at every level."
