Weekends Through Aug. 4: The LEGO® MOVIE™ Days
LEGOLAND® Florida Resort celebrates THE LEGO® MOVIE™ franchise with special activities each weekend of the event. Enjoy working together to build a mystery LEGO® mosaic, taking part in a huge scavenger hunt, and meeting THE LEGO® MOVIE™ characters Emmet and Wyldstyle, plus a new, exclusive character meet-and-greet with Rex Dangervest — all included with park admission!
Select Nights Through Aug. 24: Disney H2O Glow Nights
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon® Water Park at Walt Disney World® Resort hosts the ultimate glow party during this summertime event, which is included with park admission. Starring Toy Story’s Rex and his pals, the celebration includes special lighting and entertainment, character greetings, a DJ dance party, an adult-exclusive bar area, and access to all attractions.
Select Nights Through Sept. 1: SeaWorld’s Electric Ocean
Once the sun goes down, nights come to life at SeaWorld® Orlando during this summer-long party! Enjoy worlds of light and music filled with glowing sea creatures, live DJs and a fireworks spectacular, all included with park admission.
Aug. 10-11: LEGOLAND® Florida Resort Fire Safety Weekend
Come to LEGOLAND Florida for a weekend of fun and fire safety education! Free with park admission, this special event is presented by the National Fire Protection Association and teaches kids and parents alike how to protect their home and family while providing fun activities like mural builds, scavenger hunts and photoshoots.
Select Nights, Aug. 16 – Nov. 1: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Held for a record 36 select nights from Aug. 16 – Nov. 1, 2019, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom® Park at Walt Disney World® Resort is a specially ticketed event that captures the spirit of the season with spooky décor, lighting and music, along with returning favorites such as “Mickey’s Boo to You Parade,” the “Hocus Pocus Villains Spelltacular” castle stage show, and trick-or-treating throughout the park. Also returning for this year’s party will be special attraction experiences for Mad Tea Party, Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain. Children are encouraged to dress in costume and enjoy the spirit of Halloween with their families. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a ticketed, after-hours special event.
Aug. 29 – Nov. 23: Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival
Featuring cuisines, music and more from around the globe, this renowned celebration at Epcot® is better than ever with all-new events, chefs and things to do, and it’s running for a record-shattering 87 days. Foodies can treat themselves to chef demonstrations, hands-on workshops, special events like “Party for the Senses,” and separately priced happenings. There’s also an entire menu of family fun, including Remy’s Ratatouille-inspired scavenger hunt, a play area, nightly dance parties, and select dishes and demonstrations designed especially for kids. Last but not least, the “Eat to the Beat” concert series (Aug. 19 – Nov. 19) will showcase a wide range of musical acts, including newcomers such as Sawyer Brown, Lauren Daigle, Boyce Avenue and Kris Allen, plus returning favorites like Plain White T’s, Sugar Ray, Hanson, Sheila E. and Boyz II Men. Entry to this event, which begins the same day that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, is included with park admission. (Food and beverages sold separately.)

Aug. 23 – Sept. 30: Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining®
Now in its 14th year, Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining is your chance to enjoy three-course, prix-fixe meals for just $35 per person at more than 100 of Orlando’s best restaurants. Plus, $1 for each meal served will be donated to one or more worthy charities, with 2019’s featured charities set to be announced by Aug. 22. Aug. 13-19: GayDayS® Orlando 2019
The world-famous event that put Orlando on the LGBTQ tourism map is back for another round. In addition to the legendary theme park visits — aka #RedShirtDays — GayDayS offers pool parties, special events and comradery for male and female members of the LGBTQ community.

Running all month long, this celebration of Florida cuisine features delicious dishes paired with craft cocktails and local Florida brews. Aug. 2: Jake’s Beer Dinner Featuring Walking Tree Brewery
Get ready for an unforgettable craft-beer experience in the private Clipper Room inside Jake’s American Bar at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando. This adults-only event features five expertly prepared dinner courses paired with local or regional specialty craft beers by the hotel’s award-winning chefs. Admission is $55.

Aug. 9: Wine Riffs Featuring Kobrand Italian Wines
Wine-lovers are sure to enjoy this five-course dinner at Hard Rock Hotel® at Universal Orlando, accentuated with a custom soundtrack (in keeping with the resort’s classic style). Kobrand’s Mauro Maugliani takes guests on an Italian wine adventure while they enjoy culinary pairings from Hard Rock’s award-winning chefs. Admission to this event costs $125.
Aug. 16: Harry’s Sip & Savor Pairing Series
Come to Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill at Rosen Centre Hotel, where Head Chef Tello Luna is directing a culinary experience alongside Central 28 Beer Co. of DeBary, Florida. This event pairs a selection of craft beers with an eclectic, multi-course menu developed by Chef Tello and his team for a tantalizing experience. Admission is $60 a person.

Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando Is Hosting Fun Events for Children and Their Families in August
Aug. 5: Story Time at Leu Gardens
Offering free admission, this recurring event at Harry P. Leu Gardens brings a fun approach to teaching kids about the benefits of reading with the help of storytellers from the Orange County Library System.
Aug. 17-18: Florida Kids and Family Expo
The Orange County Convention Center is hosting two full days of indoor family fun with more than 150 interactive exhibitors, plus zones for sports, arts and crafts, a bounce house, and more. Daily tickets are $6 for guests ages 2 and up when purchased online, and $10 at the door.
Aug. 23: Leu Gardens Fairy Festival
Taking place in the middle of Harry P. Leu Gardens’ three-month Fairy Doors exhibit, this unique festival invites you to join a night hike with fairy landing stations, crafts, a scavenger hunt and the chance for kids to make their own fairy gardens.

Through Aug. 1: Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior Honoring Jim Bell
Featuring 54 holes of golf action, this multi-day tournament at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge tests the best that youth golfers ages 12-19 have to offer.
Aug. 17: Track Shack’s Celebration of Running 5K Presented by AdventHealth
Celebrating the start of a new running season and Track Shack’s 42nd anniversary, this 3.1-mile run/walk event offers a medal for all finishers, as well as a free kids’ run for ages 10 and under. Proceeds benefit the Track Shack Youth Foundation.
Aug. 24: 2019 Camping World Kickoff — Florida vs. Miami
The University of Florida Gators go head-to-head against the University of Miami Hurricanes in this classic rivalry, hosted by Camping World Stadium in downtown Orlando.
Cultural Events in Orlando for August
Aug. 1-19: The Full Monty
Presented by the Florida Theatrical Association, this 10-time Tony Award nominee is making its run at The Abbey in downtown Orlando. General admission is $25, and VIP tickets are $45.
Aug. 2: Velvet Sessions — Bret Michaels
Orlando’s only rock ‘n’ roll cocktail party, Velvet Sessions at Hard Rock Hotel® at Universal Orlando provides a selection of complimentary themed cocktails and finger foods, as well as access to a concert with revered artists from all over the world. This edition features Bret Michaels, bringing along hits such as “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Nothin’ but a Good Time.” Admission is $65 for standing room.
Aug. 2: Movies at Leu Gardens Featuring Mission: Impossible — Fallout
Every month from February through June and August through December, weather permitting, Harry P. Leu Gardens hosts a current or classic film on their 32-foot, outdoor screen, with Mission: Impossible — Fallout taking the spotlight in August. Grilled food, popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase, and you’re welcome to bring your own seating, snacks and beverages (including alcohol). Admission is free for Leu Gardens members. For non-members, it’s $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 4-17, and free for kids under 4.
