See what's new on International Drive in Orlando for 2017 (Andretti Indoor Karting & Games pictured).

Did you know that close to Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort, Orlando has an entertainment district where you can discover one-of-a-kind attractions, vibrant restaurants and nightlife, and shopping to fit any taste or budget? It's called International Drive, a.k.a. I-Drive, and it got even better in 2017. Featuring amazing food, racing, high-tech golfing and even indoor skydiving, here are five brand-new reasons to love I-Drive.

New Orlando Attractions in the International Drive Area

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games

Spearheaded by iconic racer Mario Andretti, this attraction's raison d'être is, of course, indoor karting, which turns you loose on a professionally designed, multi-level track with the best high-speed karts in the industry.

Entertainment at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games also includes an extreme ropes course and curved-rail zip line, two-story laser tag, virtual racing, hundreds of games and HD TVs, and 12 lanes of boutique bowling, among other options. You can also eat and drink like royalty at Andretti Grill — a full, from-scratch restaurant — and the Sky Bar, which provides full views of the action on the tracks and in the arcade.

iFLY Orlando Indoor Skydiving

If you've always dreamed of skydiving but can't seem to get past the "jumping out of a plane" aspect, iFLY Orlando Indoor Skydiving can make that dream come true. Billed by iFly as safe for adventurers ages 3 to 103, the attraction uses vertical, wind-tunnel technology to help you float in a wall-to-wall cushion of air.

Topgolf Orlando

This multifaceted attraction features fun, competitive golf games for all ages on 102, climate-controlled bays stretching over three stories. Not a golfer? You might be by the time you leave, as Topgolf's unique golf-game concept has a time-tested knack for converting nonbelievers.

Beyond being a golf mecca, the venue also boasts an array of gourmet food, bars, space for private events large and small, a rooftop terrace with an amazing view, HD TVs and other features to keep your party going for as long as you want.

Pio Pio Restaurant

Although this restaurant has been part of Orlando's dining landscape for years, they debuted a larger, more beautiful location just off International Drive in 2017. Founded and operated by a husband-and-wife team of Peruvian and Colombian descent, the eatery offers a full range of traditional Latin fare done right, with rotisserie chicken being their specialty.

Uncle Julio's Mexican Restaurant

Until you read the words "chocolate piñata," you probably didn't even know that such a thing existed. Now that you do, you'll obviously want one, and the only place to find it in Orlando is Uncle Julio's Mexican Restaurant. There are plenty of other reasons to visit, thanks to the authentic, all-scratch menu offerings. And if you're interested in a unique location for your next gathering, take note that the venue is perfect for large parties.
