More Ways to Play at MegaCon Orlando 2018
In addition to confirming additional celebrities for MegaCon 2018, the organizers have firmed up plans for this year's special features. Needless to say, tons of programming focusing on a wide range of interests is on the schedule.
For instance, if you like to dress up as your favorite characters, you'll want to check out the Master of Cosplay Contest Southeast Qualifier. Similarly, younger guests can participate in the Kids Costume Contest. Even if you don't think your cosplay skills are quite at the championship level, you can still have fun at the show's Cosplay Photo Park, a free feature where you can take photos in front of themed backdrops.
If you'd rather spend time stargazing, look into the Celebrity Photo Sessions and Autograph Sessions. And at Artist Alley, you can meet classic and contemporary comic book artists, many of whom will be happy to sign your prized books or even create an original sketch on the spot. The Small Press/Indy Pavilion presents similar access to an eclectic collection of smaller publishers.
There will be plenty more to see and do at this year's MegaCon, including 400,000 square feet of shopping, Star Wars events by the 501st Legion, panels, Q&A sessions, workshops, seminars, a free-play retro video game lounge, and even a speed dating event.
