New Orlando-Area Attractions in 2018
Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios®: Scheduled to open in summer 2018, this addition will bring the hit Disney-Pixar films to life in part by making you feel as if you've been shrunk to the size of a toy. The new land will also feature themed dining options and attractions, including Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers.
Fast & Furious — Supercharged at Universal Studios Florida: Based on the blockbuster film series, this new ride is scheduled to open in spring 2018. Using specially designed vehicles, it will take you on a high-speed ride with the movies' top characters.
New Nighttime Lagoon Show at Universal Studios Florida: Also coming to Universal in 2018 is this all-new (to-be-titled) show featuring animated characters, lighting and special effects. It will replace "Universal's Cinematic Spectacular: 100 Years of Movie Memories" show.
Infinity Falls: Set to debut in summer 2018, SeaWorld Orlando's most exhilarating ride yet will invite you to climb aboard a raft for a journey down a lost jungle river full of fountains, waterfalls and the remains of a lost civilization. It will also feature the tallest drop of its kind, resulting in a can't-miss experience.
Ray Rush: This new attraction at Aquatica® Orlando will provide guests with three ways to slide, splash and soar on a fully loaded water adventure. Featuring water jets, a colossal water sphere and dives, the raft ride is scheduled to debut in spring 2018.
The Great LEGO Race: Transforming the park's existing Project X coaster with virtual reality technology, this upgraded experience will put kids in the driver's seat as they blast through a world made of Legos.
LEGO NINJAGO — Master of the 4th Dimension: Opening Jan. 20 at the Wells Fargo Fun Town Theater with daily screenings, this short film will use 3-D animation and real-world effects to create an amazing new adventure.
New in 2018 Beyond Orlando's Theme Parks
StarFlyer: Slated to debut in 2018 at ICON Park™, this swing ride will take you to a height of 450 feet before bringing you back to earth.
New Dining & Nightlife Coming to Orlando in 2018
Jaleo: A new concept by world-famous Chef José Andrés, this eatery will bring the spirit and flavors of Spain to Disney Springs® in summer 2018.
Winebar George: Master Sommelier George Miliotes will bring his renowned expertise to Orlando for this new Disney Springs destination. It will be the only master sommelier-led wine bar in Florida.
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill: Opening summer 2018 at Disney Springs, this all-new venture from one of the world's most famous chefs will have a menu with Mediterranean influences and an ambience inspired by California. It replaces the Wolfgang Puck Grand Café, which closed in August.
Jinya Ramen Bar: Offering authentic ramen and a variety of tapas-style dishes, this restaurant is slated to open in downtown Orlando's Thornton Park neighborhood.
New Hotels & Resorts Coming to Orlando in 2018
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort: This resort is gaining a new, 15-story tower, adding an additional 500 guestrooms, including suites and concierge-level services, plus new meeting venues. It will also feature a rooftop restaurant and lounge offering panoramic views of the nighttime fireworks at Disney's parks.
Universal's Aventura Hotel: The sixth addition to Universal's lineup of onsite resorts is scheduled to open in August 2018. The 16-story, gleaming glass tower will have 600 guest rooms, including 13 kids' suites. It will also boast Universal's first-ever rooftop bar and grill, views of all three Universal parks and exclusive amenities, such as early park admission and complimentary onsite transportation.
Margaritaville Resort Orlando: This waterfront destination will feature 175 guestrooms, 1,000 Margaritaville-inspired vacation homes and 300 timeshare units. Additionally, a dining and entertainment district will accommodate guests, who will also be able to enjoy a 12-acre water park, a wellness center, miles of fitness trails and an onsite water taxi system.
The Delaney Hotel: Scheduled to open in March 2018, this 54-room boutique hotel is coming to downtown Orlando's SoDo district. High-tech conveniences for guests will include remote check-in, digital tablet-based concierge services, smartphone room keys and smart TVs.
