Weekends Through May 5: Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld® Orlando
Included with admission to SeaWorld, this tasty, weekends-only event showcases “street food” dishes from around the world, as well as local and imported craft beer. You can also enjoy concerts from popular musicians, including standouts from rock, country, Latin and more.

Through June 3: Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
Nature-lovers of all ages can marvel at Disney-themed topiaries, enjoy garden-themed food and beverages, and groove to chart-topping musicians at the “Garden Rocks” concert series. The 90-day spring celebration is included with admission to Epcot.
May 3: Jake's Beer Festival at Universal Orlando Resort
Kick back and relax at this event for beer-lovers, foodies and anyone who loves a good time. Hosted by Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando™ at the outdoor Wantilan Pavilion, it features more than 50 local and regional craft beers, delicious food, live entertainment and more.
May 11: SeaWorld’s Furry Friends Fun Run at Sesame Street
Featuring everyone’s favorite furry friends, this inaugural race will travel 3 miles around SeaWorld and through the park’s new Sesame Street land, with Sesame Street-themed awards, medals and surprises. Pre-registration is $40 per runner through May 10, with registration costing $45 on the day of the race.
Weekends, May 11-19: SeaWorld’s Inside Look
Included with park admission, this behind-the-scenes event invites animal-lovers to meet SeaWorld’s animal-care experts and behaviorists while learning about their efforts to care for the park’s animals.
Select Nights, May 24 – Sept. 1: SeaWorld’s Electric Ocean
Once the sun goes down, nights come to life at SeaWorld during this summer-long party! Enjoy worlds of light and music filled with glowing sea creatures, live DJs and a fireworks spectacular, all included with park admission.
Select Nights, May 30 – Aug. 24: Disney H20 Glow Nights
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park hosts the ultimate glow party during this summertime event. Starring Toy Story’s Rex and his pals, the celebration includes special lighting and entertainment, character greetings, a DJ dance party, an adult-exclusive bar area, and access to all attractions.
Featured Events in Orlando for May
May 10-11: Monster Jam World Finals XX
The legendary monster truck rally is back at downtown Orlando’s Camping World Stadium, with tickets starting at $30. Watch as male and female athletes push their ever-evolving, state-of-the-art trucks to the limit during two evenings of entertainment for the whole family.
May 14-27: 28th Annual Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival
The oldest, non-juried fringe festival in the U.S., this event — aka the Orlando Fringe — brings a celebration of theater, art and music to multiple venues at Loch Haven Park near downtown Orlando. After purchasing a reusable, $10 festival button, guests can secure tickets to 130-plus shows, admission to which ranges from free to $12. The uncensored productions run from mild to wild, and Kids Fringe shows are offered on weekends. You can also look forward to live music, food vendors, a beer tent and more.
May 16-19: MegaCon Orlando
The largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming event in the Southeast returns to the Orange County Convention Center for four days packed with celebrity appearances, sketch duels, how-to workshops, shopping and much more. Admission prices and hours vary by day.
May 18: Gatorpalooza Fun Fest
One of Orlando's longest-running attractions, Gatorland is celebrating its 70th anniversary with this brand-new event. Scheduled to run form 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and included with park admission, Gatorpalooza will feature live music, artisans, vendors, family fun, games, giveaways, and the alligators, animals and awesomeness for which Gatorland is famous.

Mother's Day is May 12, 2019, and Orlando is celebrating with brunches, buffets, tea parties and special offers.
LGBTQ Events in Orlando for May
May 30 – June 3: Girls in Wonderland
Catering to female members of the LGBTQ community, this counterpart to One Magical Weekend features parties, celebrity appearances and special performances.
May 31 – June 3: One Magical Weekend
Boasting a roster of internationally renowned DJs and around-the-clock events, this world-famous LGBTQ pride and music festival is always held around the first weekend in June.
Performing Arts in Orlando for May
May 4: MercyMe — The Imagine Nation Tour
The multi-American Music Award and Dove Award winners bring their hit show to the Amway Center in downtown Orlando for one night only.
May 4 & May 11: Orlando Philharmonic Presents Aesop’s Fun Fables
Geared toward younger children and their families, these performances bring Aesop’s fables to life with narration, hand-drawn illustrations and Orlando Philharmonic musicians. Held twice daily, the shows will take place at The Plaza Live near downtown Orlando.
May 14-19: Anastasia
Inspired by the beloved films, this new musical will take you from the final days of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s. It’s hosted by the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Orlando.

May 2: Orlando Museum of Art’s 1st Thursdays: Steampunk Revolution
On the first Thursday of each month, discover local artists, listen to live music, and mingle with an eclectic mix of people at the Orlando Museum of Art. Free for museum members and $15 for visitors, this edition will focus on art, artistry and artifacts based on the steampunk genre.
May 3: Movies at Leu Gardens Featuring Crazy Rich Asians
Every month from February through June and August through December, weather permitting, Harry P. Leu Gardens hosts a current or classic film on their 32-foot, outdoor screen, with Crazy Rich Asians taking the spotlight in May. Grilled items, popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase, and you’re welcome to bring your own seating, food and beverages (including alcohol). Admission is free for Leu Gardens members. For non-members, it’s $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 4-17, and free for kids under 4.
May 18: Beer ‘Merica
Sample more than 100 American craft brews at this event, which coincides with American Craft Beer Week. Also featuring live music and food, it takes place at Gaston Edwards Park near downtown Orlando, with tickets starting at $25.
May 21: Monthly Food & Wine Pairing at Carrabba's Italian Grill
At this famous restaurant's location at ICON Park, enjoy a new food and wine pairing featuring the following courses: Bruschette Paolo paired with Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand; Spaghetti Puttanesca paired with Renato Ratti Barbera, Asti, Italy; Chicken Bruschetta paired with Aruma Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina; and Strawberry Cheesecake paired with Saint M Riesling, Germany.
May 25-27: Putting for Patriots
Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf on International Drive is hosting this fundraiser over Memorial Day weekend, during which time they'll contribute a portion of total sales to three military-minded charities: Hope for the Warriors, Homes for Our Troops and Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). Pirate's Cove will also accept donations for these charities.
May 26: Orlando Carnival Downtown
This family-friendly celebration pays tribute to Caribbean culture with pageantry, live music, arts and crafts vendors, and more. Held at Camping World Stadium’s Tinker Field and McCracken Field in downtown Orlando, the event features a free parade, and tickets start at $20 for access to the main party.
May 31 – June 2: The Villages Balloon Festival
Featuring more than 30 hot air balloons, this event brings three days and nights of ballooning activities and entertainment to The Villages, about an hour northwest of downtown Orlando. Daily admission is $15 for adults, $10 for kids ages 10-18, and free for children under 10.
