Orlando Sets World Record Thanking 68 Million Visitors

Visitation Announcement 2017

Visit Orlando and the rest of the tourism community are thanking the 68 million visitors who came to Orlando in 2016.

Visit Orlando unveiled a new milestone visitation number in 2016 as it celebrated the 68 million people who visited Orlando during the year. Dedicating this announcement to our visitors, we teamed up with the Orlando tourism community to show our appreciation by saying "Thank You!" in a new and exciting way.

To do this, the Orlando tourism community came together to hand write thousands of thank you cards for a new campaign we're calling #OrlandosBIGThankYou.

"Orlando's visitation number represents the emotional connections we make with millions all over the world. The love they show us never ceases to inspire us, and led us to launch a year-long campaign around two important words: thank you," said George Aguel, President and CEO of Visit Orlando.

The campaign started today in a BIG way after achieving a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM title for collecting the most hand-written thank you cards in a 24-hour period.
