Looking for true holiday magic in Orlando? Look no further than Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a separate-ticketed event taking place on select nights at Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom through Dec. 22. Whether this unique Christmas experience is one of your ongoing traditions, or you'll be attending for the first time, here are eight ways to deck the halls with Mickey and friends at this seasonal celebration.

1. Snow in Orlando: Twice nightly, "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade" comes to Main Street U.S.A. with Santa Claus, Disney characters and snow! Combined with the gorgeous holiday decorations, it results in the kind of winter wonderland one rarely encounters in Florida.

2. Disney Characters Decked in Their Holiday Finest: Throughout the Magic Kingdom, you'll encounter more than 15 fan-favorite Disney characters dressed in their best holiday wardrobe, including rare appearances by Jack Skellington and Scrooge McDuck. And in keeping with the spirit of the season, these characters will be available for autographs and picture-taking.

3. Enchanting Entertainment: Featuring music, dancing and laughter, "Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration" combines stage performances by beloved Disney characters and a stunning projection show on Cinderella Castle. You and your family can sing along with more than a dozen renditions of carols old and new.

Joined by Kristoff and Olaf, the sisters Anna and Elsa also perform for "A Frozen Holiday Wish." The show culminates with Elsa using her magic to transform Cinderella Castle into an ice palace for the holidays.

4. Seasonal Treats: Come hungry to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, or risk not being able to try all of the exclusive deliciousness you'll discover there. At Storybook Treats, for example, you'll find eggnog custard topped with spiced chocolate cake, meringue and an edible Scrooge McDuck coin. Also, six different locations will have free treats for you to nosh on, including Tortuga Tavern, The Friar's Nook and others.

5. Holiday Wishes Dessert Packages: If you want an even sweeter holiday experience, you can opt for one of two premium dessert packages: Fireworks Holiday Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace and Fireworks Holiday Dessert Party With Plaza Garden Viewing. Both events feature dessert buffets, reserved seating and incredible views of the holiday fireworks.

6. Dine With Characters: Three of the Magic Kingdom's most popular restaurants are available for reservations on event night, including Be Our Guest, Cinderella's Royal Table and The Crystal Palace. At the latter two, you can dine with Disney Princesses and Winnie the Pooh characters, respectively, for extra holiday magic.

7. In-Room Celebrations: If you're staying at a Disney hotel during the course of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you can keep the festivities going by opting for the Dreaming of a Disney Holiday package. Guests receive a personalized welcome from Mickey and Minnie, and other add-ons, including an in-room Christmas tree, are available.

8. Exclusive Disney Holiday Merchandise: Mickey has made his list and checked it twice — a list of holiday-themed Disney collectibles you can only get at this event, that is. This year's goodies include apparel, a Christmas-themed MagicBand and limited-edition pin sets, which will be available at shops throughout the park.
