The Market Research and Insights team provides business intelligence and insight to support various Visit Orlando and industry strategies and initiatives across all disciplines. Additionally, Market Research and Insights department monitors global travel industry performance and trends.

 

Visit Orlando seeks a Research Intern for the Spring 2019 semester to assist with various department projects. Ideally, the candidate should possess strong analytical and database skills/experience. Proficiency in Excel is a must.

 

Research Intern duties may include:

  • Maintain internal travel indicators database, including airport passenger traffic, resort tax collections, convention center attendance, etc.
  • Maintain monthly/quarterly economic indicators database, including GDP, CPI, Consumer Confidence, unemployment, exchange rate, etc.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly lodging report preparation.
  • Manage monthly Market Indicators report for executive team and public site.
  • Update quarterly country dashboards.
  • Assist with updating State of the Market report.
  • Support custom research team with online survey projects, including questionnaire design, programming and basic analysis.

 

Qualification Requirements:

  • Students must be enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program.
  • Must be able to work at least 24 hours a week.
