Marketing Coordinator, Leisure Marketing

Primary Objective

Works with leisure marketing team to support Visit Orlando’s leisure marketing activities across the globe. Ideal candidate possesses a “can-do” attitude, displays initiative, and demonstrates an eye toward anticipating needs, the ability to handle multiple projects with the capability of switching quickly between different tasks and is detail-oriented and organized.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Schedule meetings, take meeting notes, prepare presentations, load data, archiving and organizing marketing files and track campaign materials to keep team on track.
  • Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns by working with the global leisure marketing team to submit job orders, collect and organize assets and work with internal production team to traffic creative materials to media agency on deadline.
  • Assist marketing team with other responsibilities such as local partner support, special promotions, and campaign reporting.
  • Coordinate team Jira ticket requests for webpages, Creative Services, Research, Brand USA, Visit Florida, Travel Industry Sales and other projects as needed, and assist with populating Marketing JIRA dashboards.
  • Implement paid social creative in Meta Creative Hub and maintain campaigns in social calendar.
  • Maintain and update destination content in key online directories including Brand USA, Google, TripAdvisor, and other partner digital properties.
  • Assist with content development by collecting member assets and helping to maintain brand assets in digital asset management system (Volt).
  • Secures images, asset release forms, location agreements, etc. for video and images needed for advertising, website, broadcast productions, presentations and more.
  • Responsible for distributing consumer marketing opportunities through Simpleview, as well as organizing and tracking member responses.
  • Ensures protection of the Orlando and Visit Orlando Brand to make certain creative executions meet brand guidelines.
  • Ensures own work area is maintained in a safe and clean manner.
  • Performs other functions and projects as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree (A.A.) from two-year College or university in a related discipline preferred; or equivalent combination of two years marketing experience/internship and training/education in a marketing environment.

Computer Skills

35 cwpm keyboarding.  Intermediate or higher-level proficiencies in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop/Canva a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Work Environment

The environment for this job is typical for an office and does not result in exposure to conditions outside of the normal office environment.  There may at times be meetings and / or other projects that warrant being outside along with standing for long periods of time.
