CMS Representative

Primary Objective

Responsible for implementing strategies, tactics and processes to drive conversions and increase online web traffic via CMS. Additional responsibilities include management of international versions of and Secondary support with domestic version of, and the Visit Orlando app.

Major Areas of Accountability

CMS – responsible for International versions of

  • Drive the execution of requests across Project Management, Marketing, Creative, and Technology teams.
  • Technical: General site maintenance and optimization
    • Manage /es, /pt, /fr-ca versions of .
    • Manage country specific URLs including; Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Germany
    • Manage
    • Generate, modify, update pages – URL construction and redirect set up
    • Manage content and asset updates.  
    • Handle assets, including expiration dates and implement backup images
    • Partner with internal departments to help evaluate and solve CMS issues or other anomalies
  • Marketing: General branding and campaign specific
    • Set up Microsites and Campaign Landing Pages
  • Implement and execute strategy to increase organic traffic for search engine optimization
    • Update metadata, content headers, footers, links, pages, tabs, etc.
    • Update member content as requested

Additional responsibilities (20%)

  • Support SEO initiatives across all Visit Orlando web properties.
  • Manage projects in Jira workflow tool
  • Manage on site lead generation tool across all Visit Orlando websites.
  • Proactively manage assets that are set to expire across all Visit Orlando websites to avoid broken images.
  • Provide support with the Visit Orlando app including content creation and revisions.

Other (20%)

  • Ensures protection of the Orlando and Visit Orlando brand.  Serves as Brand ambassador.
  • Provide insight and critical thinking to add value to projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Communicate any changes or content needs to member; source additional assets as needed.
  • Guarantees own work area is maintained in a safe and clean manner.
  • Performs other functions and projects that align to areas of responsibility described above.
  • Support all Visit Orlando websites and digital assets as needed and directed.

Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university in a related discipline preferred; or equivalent combination of 3-5 years of experience and/or training/education in a marketing environment.

Computer Skills

  • Advanced CMS Administration & Systems maintenance
  • CRM Experience
  • Basic HTML/CSS
  • Graphic design, video editing and word processing experience
  • 35 wpm keyboarding
  • Intermediate or higher-level proficiencies in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Preference for bi-lingual candidates with Spanish &/or Portuguese.

  • Intermediate or higher-level proficiencies in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

The environment for this job is typical for an office and does not result in exposure to conditions outside of the normal office environment.


Candidates must be located in Orlando. There is no relocation assistance available for this position.
