CMS Representative

Primary Objective:

Responsible for implementing strategies, tactics and processes to drive conversions and increase online web traffic via CMS. Additional responsibilities include supporting VisitOrlando.com as well as OrlandoMeeting.com, MagicalDining.com and the Visit Orlando app.

Major Areas of Accountability:

CMS – VisitOrlando.com, OrlandoMeeting.com & MagicalDining.com (60%)

  • Drive the execution of requests across Project Management, Marketing, Creative, and Technology teams.
  • Technical: General site maintenance and optimization
    • Generate, modify, update pages – URL construction and redirect setup
    • Manage multimedia to optimize user experience – format video and images on-site, manage repository
    • Handle member assets, including usage rights, permissions, and expiration dates
    • Partner with internal departments to help evaluate and solve CMS issues or other anomalies
  • Marketing: General branding and campaign-specific
    • Set up Microsites and Campaign Landing Pages
    • Govern page content: Copy, headlines, tabs, images, excerpts, and event pages
  • Implement and execute strategy to increase organic traffic for search engine optimization
    • Upkeep content headers, footers, links, pages, tabs, etc.
    • Update member content as requested
  • Guarantees own work area is maintained in a safe and clean manner.
  • Performs other functions and projects that align to areas of responsibility described above.
  • Support all Visit Orlando websites and digital assets as needed and directed.
  • Communicate any changes or content needs to member; source additional assets as needed.

Other (20%)

  • Ensures protection of the Orlando and Visit Orlando brand.  Serves as Brand ambassador.
  • Provide insight and critical thinking to add value to projects and initiatives as needed.

Additional responsibilities (20%)

  • Provide support to VisitOrlando.com and OrlandoMeeting.com. This includes but is not limited to building new pages, implementing content revisions, and updating images and videos.
  • Support SEO initiatives across all Visit Orlando web properties.
  • Provide support with the Visit Orlando app including content creation and revisions.
  • Manage projects in Jira workflow tool
  • Run a/b tests and set up dynamic content to improve user experience

Qualification Requirements:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in a related discipline preferred; or equivalent combination of 5+ years of experience and/or training/education in a marketing environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Webmaster Tools
  • Certified Google Analytics preferred

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Advanced CMS Administration & Systems maintenance
  • CRM Experience
  • Basic HTML/CSS
  • Graphic design, video editing and word processing experience
  • 35 wpm keyboarding
  • Intermediate or higher-level proficiencies in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.  Foreign language preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentages and to draw and interpret complex information and trends within the ticket sale. 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to think and provide rationale for process improvement to help drive incremental opportunities for business growth.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The environment for this job is typical for an office and does not result in exposure to conditions outside of the normal office environment.
