Scared yet? You will be when Halloween Horror NightsTM returns to Universal Orlando® Resort on Sept. 14. for 36 nights — the most in the event's 28-year history! Promising the ultimate in terror for teens and adults through Nov. 3, 2018's edition will also host a record-breaking 10 haunted houses, including the first-ever based on Netflix's hit series, Stranger Things.

Adapted Halloween Horror Nights Haunted Houses

  • Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers — The evil Michael Myers has returned and is out for blood, and even Dr. Loomis might not be able to help you escape this time.

  • Horrors of Blumhouse — The production company behind such horror hits as The Purge and Happy Death Day is back with a terrifying new house based on their films.

  • Poltergeist — The original Poltergeist movie comes to life as you enter the light via a television set and find yourself stalked by The Beast.

  • Stranger Things — Halloween Horror Nights takes you inside the terrifying Upside Down world at this brand-new house based on Netflix's acclaimed series.

  • Trick ‘r Treat — Play by the rules or pay the ultimate price in this maze, where the guardians of Halloween keep a close eye on your progress.

  • Carnival Graveyard: Rust in Pieces — Something sinister is festering in a decaying carnival, and it won't rest until it's consumed you.

  • Dead Exposure: Patient Zero — Earth has been infected with the ultimate pandemic, and you're lost in the darkness as vicious, swarming zombies try to find you.

  • ScaryTales: Deadly Ever After — With the Wicked Witch of the West in charge of the realm of fairies, your favorite fairy tales have all gone wrong.

  • Seeds of Extinction — Humanity has been all but wiped out by a cataclysmic meteor, and predatory plants now rule the planet.

  • Slaughter Sinema — At this diabolical drive-in, you don't catch a movie — the movie catches you with an assist from werewolf bikers, alien cannibals and a swamp yeti.

Think you can avoid being terrified at Halloween Horror Nights if you stay out of the haunted houses? Think again! As you wander through Universal Studios FloridaTM, you'll encounter five open-air scare zones with their own host of horrors, including:

  • The Harvest — Located along the Avenue of Stars, this old barn features foul creatures who can't wait to harvest your flesh.

  • Killer Klowns From Outer Space — An interstellar circus tent has landed on South Street, with otherworldly clowns zapping people into cotton candy pods.

  • Revenge of Chucky — Based on the fearsome films about a murderous doll, this scare zone can be found on the streets of Hollywood.

  • Twisted Tradition — An ancient evil reawakens in Central Park, trapping people in rotten pumpkins that grow on the cursed ground.

  • Vamp ‘85: New Year's Eve — As the ball drops in New York City, a bloodsucking DJ plays hits while partygoers attempt to feast on you.

As if 10 haunted houses and five scare zones weren't terrifying enough, Halloween Horror Nights is fostering even more fear with the Academy of Villains: Cyberpunk live show. Featuring a monstrous mix of dance, acrobatics and theatrics, the production is set in a dystopian city of the future.

Six of the most popular attractions at Universal Studios Florida will also be available during this year's event. They include Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts, Fast & Furious — Supercharged, Transformers The Ride — 3D, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Revenge of the Mummy and Men in Black Alien Attack. (And yes, the entirety of Diagon Alley at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be open on event nights — including the nefarious Knockturn Alley!)

One last note: Costumes and masks are not permitted at Halloween Horror Nights, so leave them at home or in your car when you go.
