Your guide to Orlando’s innovative, artisan-focused East End Market.

Orlando's quest for foodie nirvana has reached new heights, inspired by famous destinations like the "foodtropolis" shops of Chelsea Market in New York; the hallowed halls of Eastern Market in Washington, D.C.; and the daily celebration of land and sea at Pike Place Market in Seattle.

With the recent reopening of East End Market, Orlando now has its own gastro-hub, providing a venue to shop from local food artisans and unique merchants — just in time for fall and holiday menus.

Shoppers will take pleasure in discovering treasures from among the dozen or so merchants, all presented in a food hall atmosphere. Here's your guide to some of the market's most notable vendors.

Vendors at East End Market in Orlando

Olde Hearth Bread Co. serves up natural, fresh-baked breads and rustic breakfast pastries handcrafted by owner Shannon Talty. His artisanal pop-tarts are the heavenly bliss most shoppers at the market seek.

Houndstooth Sauce Co. is the market's source for artisan sauces and marinades. Signature sauces from founder David Bressler are the Red BBQ Sauce and the Honey Hoison Marinade & Glaze.

Cheese enthusiasts can select hand-crafted cheeses from all over the world at La Femme du Fromage — The Cheese Lady.

Rawism fans will delight in the offerings at Skyebird Juice Bar and Experimental Kitchen, where a mix of local and organic produce is used to make fresh juices, smoothies, kombucha and a full raw-food menu.

The craft-roasted coffee from Lineage is a journey to be experienced by every coffee aficionado. Owners Jarrett and Justine Johnson bestow their fine coffee-roasting skills that translate to perfection in every cup.

Other standouts include farm-to-table fare at Farm-Haus, plus exceptional cookies and other baked goods from Gideon's Bakehouse. Rounding out the available food services is the onsite catering and events company, Cuisiniers.

The two-story East End Market also features eclectic items like home plants and gifts from Porch Therapy and handmade creations from Freehand Goods.
