Checklist for Working with Visit Orlando's PR Department
- Send an updated press kit for the department's files.
- Place us on your mailing list for releases and newsletters.
- Send us via e-mail your 300 dpi digital color images to be used on our media Web site and b-roll on beta.
- Let us know the types of journalists you would like to host, markets you are interested in pursuing and what you are willing to provide so it is on hand for planning group press trips and last minute journalist requests.
- If you qualify, sign up to be included in the Journalist VIP Passport, which provides complimentary entrance for a journalist and guest during a specific official visit to Orlando. It's free!
- Read E-Leads for requests from journalists working on stories, for press trip hosting opportunities and for information needed for releases.
- Respond to requests for information for news releases that are placed in E-Leads and the Online Member Newsletter. Examples of releases are: What's New, Senior Discount, Florida Resident Specials, Special Events, etc.
- Place your event on the Calendar of Events by filling out the form on the membership section of the Web site visitorlando.com.
- If you have a question regarding a journalist, call one of the Public Relations Representatives and inquire.
- Sign up for the Web Release Program and the Quarterly Mailing Program.
- Send us your link to your media Web site.
