TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards Names Orlando Hotel Properties Among Best in the World

ORLANDO, Fla. – A dozen Orlando area hotel properties were selected by tripadvisor.com members as best in the U.S. and the World. The properties excelled in a wide range of categories including luxury, customer service, best pool and best family destination. The Villas of Grand Cypress was recognized in four categories including: Top 100 Best Luxury – World (71), Top 10 Best Luxury – U.S. (7), Best in the 25 Most Popular Destinations – World (8) and Top 10 Best Service – U.S. (4). The Crowne Plaza Hotel Orlando Universal was also ranked as one of the Worlds Top 100 Best for Luxury (91).

Orlando’s strong family appeal is evident in the Top 10 for Families category where the Residence Inn Sea World International Drive was ranked number one. Four more Orlando area properties were also ranked in the top 10 including: Marriott Grande Vista (5), Comfort Suites Maingate East (7), Hilton Grande Vacations Club at Sea World International Center (8), and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (10).

Orlando hotels dominated the Top 10 Best Pools in the U.S. with five of the 10 selections located in metro Orlando. They include: Omni Orlando Resort Championsgate (2), Sheraton Vistana Villages – International Drive (4), Hilton Grand Vacations Club on International Drive (6), Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress (8) and Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn (10).

The TripAdvisor® Travelers' Choice™ award winners for 2008 were determined by a combination of TripAdvisor's Popularity Index and traveler ratings of specific attributes.
