Orlando Magical Dining Month Teams Up with Red Chair Project for Kick-Off Event
ORLANDO, Fla. – The 4th Annual Red Chair Affair kicks-off Central Florida's cultural season on Sunday, September 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center. Performers will include Cirque du Soleil, Orlando Opera, Mad Cow Theatre, Orlando Ballet, Orlando Philharmonic, Orlando Shakespeare Theater and many more. The Red Chair Project is a community service designed to increase participation in Central Florida's arts and culture. As a collaborative campaign involving more than 300 arts and cultural organizations, it promotes and grows the arts in the region through RedChairProject.com, a Web site with arts and cultural events, discounted tickets, classes/workshops, and getaways.
"The Red Chair Affair is a time for us to celebrate the variety of cultural offerings we have in Central Florida," said Autumn Schaefer, Executive Director of the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Central Florida, the organization that presents the annual event. "We are thrilled to be partnering with the Orlando CVB and the Magical Dining Month to bring awareness of the wonderful entertainment options available all year in our own backyard.
"Cultural programs supported through the Red Chair Project efforts enhance our community locally, nationally and internationally," said Gary Sain, Orlando CVB president & CEO. "We have wonderful arts organizations that need the help that Red Chair project provides. We're proud to support these worthwhile efforts and kick-off our Orlando Magical Dining Month with an outstanding organization like this."
