Orlando Announces Integrated Marketing Campaign in Mexico
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. (Orlando CVB) announced today the launch of the “Say YES to Orlando” campaign to the Mexican market.
As part of a collaborative effort with SeaWorld Orlando, Universal Orlando Resort, Walt Disney World Resort and the Orlando CVB the “Say YES to Orlando” campaign represents the commitment of the destination to the Mexican market and its desire to maintain its position as the number on e family destination in the world for Mexican families. In addition to destination partners, some of the most renowned wholesaler operators in the travel industry in Mexico, such as: Corporate Travel Services; Dream Destinations; Viajes Mundomex; and Travelocity have also Said YES to Orlando by joining this first-time campaign in the Mexican market.
“We recognize the ever-growing interest of the Mexican consumer to our destination,” said Jorge Sales, representative of the Orlando CVB in Mexico. “This campaign provides Mexican families with the opportunity of making their dreams of a wonderful vacation experience in Orlando more accessible.”
Launched August 24, and running through December 15, 2008, the “Say YES to Orlando” campaign will appear in some of the leading newspapers and magazines in Mexico, including Reforma newspaper; BoletinTruristico.com; Execelsior newspaper; Travel Connection radio; Travel & Leisure magazine; Travesías magazine; Quién magazine; Elle magazine; Diario de Yucatán; Asesoría Turística; Ocho Columnas/ Viajes; Radiorama de Occidente/Megacable; and AM León newspaper. The campaign will showcase the great variety of attractions Orlando has to offer, the advantage of visiting the destination during the fall season, beautiful weather, lighter than usual crowds and a multitude of great offers that add incomparable value to their vacation experience. The campaign kicked off with a series of events in Mexico, they included travel trade and media events in Mexico City, Guadalajara and León.
