New International Air Service to Orlando
The following International airlines recently announced the addition of new direct service to Orlando International Airport.
Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus will begin its new direct service from Dublin, Ireland to Orlando International Airport on Saturday, October 27, 2007. The Orlando flight will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and will depart Dublin at noon arriving in Orlando at 3:50 p.m. The return flight will depart Orlando at 6 p.m. on these days and will arrive in Dublin at 7 a.m. the following day. The plane will consist of mostly economy priced seats as well as 24 premium economy. With this new Orlando flight, Aer Lingus will serve seven U.S. cities and fly to 70 European locations. Lufthansa
Lufthansa will begin its new direct service from Frankfurt, Germany to Orlando International Airport on Tuesday, October 30, 2007. The Orlando flight will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays and will depart Frankfurt at 2:05 p.m. arriving in Orlando at 6:30 p.m. The return flight will depart Orlando at 8:25 p.m. on these days and will arrive in Frankfurt at 11:20 a.m. the following day. Lufthansa will offer three travel classes on this flight, making it the only airline to provide a First Class service on this route. The new Lufthansa service will serve as a gateway to Orlando for more than 90 international destinations. Tickets are currently available for booking on www.lufthansa.com.
Additional Flights To Existing Service
As of August 15, 2007, Copa Airlines, headquartered in Panama City, Panama, added two new flights to their existing direct service to Orlando due to increased demand. This brings the total number of Copa flights to Orlando each week to 12.
On February 2, 2008, Delta Airlines, will add a new direct flight from Cancun to their existing Mexico/Orlando service. This is Delta's second international service addition since December 2006 when the airline began direct service from Mexico City to Orlando.
