New for Summer 2017 Volcano Bay

 

1. Beat the heat at Universal Orlando Resorts' Volcano Bay, a brand new tropical island water park, opening May 25, 2017 and featuring innovative, thrilling attractions and TapuTapu wearable technology for virtual queuing.

 

New for Summer 2017 Pandora

 

2. Discover an alien planet at Pandora -The World of AVATAR at Animal Kingdom on May 27, 2017, the largest expansion in the park's history. The new area features floating mountains, bioluminescent rainforests and a Banshee flying attraction, as well as new after-dark entertainment.

3. Sing along to "Happily Ever After," a new nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park, with more Disney characters than ever before, along with moments from "Moana," "Brave," "Big Hero 6," "Zootopia " and other Disney classics.

4. Catch SeaWorld Orlando's first digitally-enhanced ride experience on June 16, 2017 when the legendary Kraken roller coaster opens as a new virtual reality (VR) roller coaster experience.  (Bonus: Stick around for the new Electric Ocean end-of-day spectacle too!)

5. Soar at iFly Indoor Skydiving's brand new facility next to WonderWorks on International Drive, equipped with two all-glass wind tunnels in an open single-story floor plan that allows I-Drive passersby to see fliers in action.

 

New for Summer 2017 Andretti

 

6. Fulfil your need for speed at Andretti Karting, a brand new indoor go-kart facility opening June 2017. The new facility will feature electronic go-karting, zip lines, bowling, racing simulators, a ‘sky bar,' rock climbing, laser tag and a full-service restaurant.

7. Hold on aboard Fun Spot America's new wooden coaster opening this summer, dubbed the Mine Blower. This wild new ride clocks in at 82 feet tall, running nearly 50 mph and including a barrel roll inversion, a rare element for a wooden coaster.

8. Ace Cafe Orlando, the first US outpost of the iconic London-based, motor-themed cafe, opened May 18. An American roadside diner inspires the menu, with made-from-scratch comfort food, some British favorites and locally-sourced and green options, all at an affordable price point.

9. The Polite Pig joins the host of new and celebrity chef dining options at Disney Springs, boasting a variety of modern takes on barbeque through wood-fired, smoked and grilled items as well as drinks on tap. This is the fourth dining concept in Orlando from husband and wife team and James Beard Nominated Chefs James and Julie Petrakis.

10. Uncle Julio's Fine Mexican will join the dining offerings at I-Drive 360 this summer, if you're looking for something spicy. The Texas-based restaurant chain will sit near the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, with a patio around the building for a perfect view of the wheel. The Tex-Mex menu includes everything from honey chipotle salmon to cowboy queso.
