Visiting Orlando just got a whole lot easier with the launch of our new mobile app. Through groundbreaking functionalities visitors can use their mobile device to explore, have fun and earn savings during their stay in the No. 1 most visited destination in the U.S. The app, currently in public beta, is available for download through the iTunes and Google Play.
The new app, developed by Visit Orlando, puts the power of artificial intelligence search with the fun of augmented reality games and interactive mapping directly into users hands.
Search that Learns
App users can discover Orlando using their own words through the natural search capabilities of WayBlazer's IBM Watson-enabled technology. Speak or type questions in the search function for personalized recommendations through crowdsourcing from trusted travel resources such as TripAdvisor. The app learns to provide more targeted results through user interactions and preferences.
Augmented Reality Mapping
Choose how to view and explore the places around you with a traditional 2D map, along with an augmented reality mapping capability. The "Around Me" allows users to easily locate and learn about things to do in the immediate vicinity in a fun and interactive way.
Augmented Reality Games
Earn savings in a fun way with an augmented reality "Magical Orb" game. This feature allows users to unlock great deals around town by hunting and capturing Magical Orbs. You can collect all of the "Magical Orbs" to enter a sweepstakes for prizes.
Earn Savings through Selfies
Even more savings and fun wait with the Interactive Selfie Scavenger Hunt. Take a selfie challenge around the destination and enjoy Orlando-themed photo filters that create an interactive 3-D "photo cube" with all of your selfies while earning even more savings.
Discount Tickets and Expert Advise
The app also includes the ability to purchase discount attraction tickets and for a personal touch, users can directly contact one of Visit Orlando's travel specialists for helpful tips about navigating Orlando.
