The newest dining triumph to open at Disney Springs (Walt Disney World's dining and entertainment district) comes in the form of a restaurant experience that explores the love affair that Celebrity Chef Rick Bayless has with authentic Mexican cuisine. #TacoTuesday will never be the same in Orlando with the fresh flavors, alluring aromas and breathtaking views that await at the new Frontera Cocina in the Town Center area of Disney Springs.
Walt Disney World continues to expand dinging at Disney Springs through the addition of unique and flavorful culinary experiences and a commitment to bring top chefs, such as Rick Bayless – a six-time James Beard Foundation award winner and TV celebrity. Bayless earned his 'Celebrity Chef' title by battling other chefs on the Iron Chef America TV show; won Bravo's Top Chef Masters award, hosted a PBS series called Mexico - One Plate at a Time for ten seasons, as well as many other impressive culinary adventures.
Frontera Cocina's main menu includes authentic Mexican cuisine of freshly made, hand-crafted tortas, tacos, classic Mexican braised meat entrees, salads, and guacamole created by Bayless.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is stylish and modern. It includes the main dining room, seating around the bar, and an outdoor patio area overlooking the water at Disney Springs.
The main dining room is surrounded by two walls of tequila bottles known as the Tequila Room. Inspired by a city in Tequila, Mexico where tequila is the national beverage. Every detail is considered from the décor to the dishes from top to bottom, inside and out to make guests feel like they've time traveled to Mexico!

Drinks and Starter Samples:
Blood Orange Jalapeño Margarita with Chips and Salsa: A classic Mexican snack includes smoky chipotle and herby salsa verde dipping sauces. Drink consists of Casa Noble blanco tequila, orange liqueur, blood orange juice, habanero bitters, jalapeno, with a tajin chile rim.
Chipotle Chicken Tostadas: A fantastic appetizer as you take a bite, starts out crunchy, yet melts in your mouth for a perfect combination of flavor. This dish includes three crispy tostadas, with chipotle chicken, crema, creamy black beans, queso fresco, and avocado toppings.
Shrimp Mojo de Ajo: The large shrimp dish contain so many flavors in one bite that you'll end up eating the entire dish no matter how full you may feel. This dish consists of pan-roasted Mazatlán blue shrimp with mojo de ajo (slow-cooked garlic, chicken broth, olive oil, lime, and chipotle), plantain rice, grilled calabacitas, and warm corn tortillas.
Carne Asada: For the steak lovers out there, this is a must try entrée. It includes red chile-marinated Creekstone Natural Black Angus steak, black beans refritos with Cotija cheese, caramelized plantains with crema and queso fresco, tomatillo salsa, and warm corn tortillas.
Want to bring home the flavors of Frontera Cocina salsas? You're in luck, at the front of the restaurant there's a selection of exclusive robust sauces to choose from created by Chef Rick Bayless along with a few books he's written.
If you're in a rush, not to worry, there's a ‘Grab and Go' window outside the restaurant in the back with a short menu items such as fresh-made guacamole and chips, beef barbacoa tacos, braised port shoulder tacos, and more. Enjoy ‘Gourmet on the Go!'
